Man, I started thinking about the very minuscule chance of an earth quake happening, while being under the car. In LA it's not such an impossibility. :/

Hit the seam on a mobile jackstand, the thing tips over and your car and/or you may get hurt.

yea, probably why I have never seen one.
I can imagine it could be engineered properly, but by that time you would be into the price range of that scissor lift you have.
hmmm... add wheels to a scissor lift.....

When you are next near your jack stands can you please give me the measurements of the triangle that forms their base? Middle of one foot to the middle of the next foot when viewed from the bottom.
I've looked but cannot find those stands down here and shipping from the States would be too prohibitive, so I'm going to make some.
