Literally! Just wanted to share an exciting moment, which is I performed my first DIY. I raised my car

While the car was up I scoped out the engine and wheels/brakes, in anticipation for my 2nd and 3rd DIY: oil change and replace the rear brakes.

Anyway, that's it.

im just wondering how you can get underneath that thing? When i jack mine up, i go at least 2 times higher than that.

 

I didn't go "all the way". But I had enough room to slide under, but I could def use some more space. Next time I'll go higher! Baby steps

Yeah, we always have them way up higher.

 

Safety tip #1; When using jack stands, ALWAYS put a nice, approximately 2' x 3' piece of 3/4" plywood, on the lift plate of your floor jack, push the jack, from either side of the car, under the belly of the car, raise it up under the rear firewall (where the horizontal floor meets the vertical wall just forward of the trans) until it applies gentle pressure. Leave it there. Don't go under without it.
