Default Help removing front bumper skin on a '07 997

Good morning.. One of my horns has stopped working. I was told they are located on the right side, behind the bumper skin.. What is needed to remove the bumper skin?? I have a 2007 Targa 4. Can someone give me some advice??

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum Steve. I'm not sure that this forum will get you the best advice. On the right side of the forum list, click on water cooled, then choose the 997 forum. Most of us here are crazy air-cooled 911 guys. (w00t has a 997, and Edgy1 is a late model convert as well, so you may find some friends here regardless of "coolant")
If I were to hazard a guess, you may be able to remove the front right fender liner and get where you want to be - just a guess.
Try the 997 forum, but keep us posted over here for our own edification. You will make a lot of friends quickly on Rennlist, especially if you can post some pictures - we love pictures.
Good luck, and again, welcome.

Welcoma aboard Steve As Whale points out the 997 forum will have tonnes of giys to help out. With all due respect i think if we want to be kept posted we can drop in to that forum , cross contaninating of forums can get murky and this is why they are divded.
I for one wil have no prblem nippig over to see how you make out.

All the best.

I have to agree with Ice. Maybe we should keep up over there.
That's the differance between 11,000 and 2,000 posts.

Thanks everyone for such a warm welcome. I now see the 997 forum and will take a look.. I did manage to get the bumper skin off.. there about a dozen torx screws to remove the side marker lights have to come off as well as the front marker lights.. The whole thing took 30 minutes.. The reason I had to remove it was one of my horn's stopped working.. I managed to find an exact replacement and now the horn sounds the way it should. I love my Targa.. I have almost 36,000 miles on it. Look forward to contributing to the forum..
