wow I think I am getting a hard on
so how did you get the case and engine parts so clean ? that looks amazing ... so do you have to keep track of which cylinder and head goes where ? I imagine there has to be some type of "leveling" involved so when you put the cam tower on there is no high spots or gaps... ?

That is why you have to be careful to keep the cylinder group heights the same or compensate if you machine or replace one. I would assume the same would be required if you ever replaced a head. Clean surfaces on the heads and cam tower mating surfaces with no nicks or gouges, then a thin even coat of sealant. Other than that, there is no shimming or leveling.

Crank inspected, micropolished
Rods rebushed-resized
ARP Rod Bolts
Supertec Headstuds
New Rings
Cylinders machined to compensate for some taper
Aasco Racing Valve Springs/Ti Retainers
Rebuilt Heads-new exhaust valves (no choice there!) and twin-plug machined
Cams reground to DC19 profile, refurb rockers by DRC
New rocker hardware, RSR seals
Timing chains, ramps
New crank sensors
New fuel lines
New Bosch alternator
Injectors inspected/cleaned
Powder coat on tin, Ceramic coating on shroud and fan, valve covers
Oil cooler tested (pinhole repaired) and cleaned (HIGHLY recommended!)
Flywheel, clutch and pressure plate were fairly new, and reused with new flywheel bolts.
And now, she gets the finishing touches.
BTW, yours looks great. I found the assembly part to be quite rewarding-I hope you're having a good time!

Nope I didn't ignore it. I spoke with Steve Wong at 911 Chips and, we discussed it, and we're going to Dyno the car after the break in. There is additional horsepower to be gained, but no I never ignored what you said. We're just weighing all options and opinions as we work through this. My guys (Aase Motors) are helping me build my motor, and I am considering any and all ideas from others and everything is being considered. I wish I could take credit for all of it, but Jeff and Alan have a good grasp moving through the project and have been very good helping me toss ideas... The assembly is fun (with my limited role) I'm playing a role with the entire project, but I have to keep doing my day job. I'm better at that than building motors. Maybe the next one I will do end to end alone.

I know Ed... I looked at the dual plug idea, but I'll pass on that one. We were discussing that one and maybe next build.
You're a good resource Ed... It helped me turn a couple corners as far as decisions along the way.
