Finally Starting my 3.2 to 3.4 Conversion
#136
265-270 ish?
Mine on standard exhaust running 99ron (UK) single plug at 10.45:1CR hits 273 fwhp
Ssi are meant to be marginal on 3.2, more so on 3.4 - for outright fwhp at least. Torque I imagine is different

Nope, that was my estimate of the question asked a few posts ago re fwhp
My previous car was a Clubsport, hence the tag. This was a 3.2 with SW chip
My current car is a 3.4 running 98mm Mahle p and c, single plug, dc20 cams, SRP valve gear and sports 1in1out pre/main silencer = 273fwhp/245 lbft
Have now installed 1 5/8" headers and a dmeshop24.de MAF and keen to know what it's pushing

The estimate. I don't know what "whp" is. I know FWHP and RWHP are.
With 1 5/8" headers (not SSI's) and a SW chip running 93, I dyno'd at about 205 rwhp with a stock US 3.2. Other than the octane and that I was running larger headers, I think this is the config the poster asked about.

I'd say that depends on compression, cams, etc. I went at 230-something at the wheels with all stock intake. They WERE 1 5/8" B&B headers (not muffler!!) with heat.

- 98mm 9.5:1
- stock intake
- headers by RarelyL8 (with their heater boxes); 1 5/8" OD
- Dansk Sport 2in:1out muffler
- 964 grind camshaft set
- twin ignition
- corresponding Steve Wong Chip; inc. 94 octane
I got 225 at the wheels on a Dyno Dynamics w/ everything above minus the exhaust config; i.e. I had stock 3.2 heat-exchangers, Dansk Sport muffler and cat-bypass. I have not yet retested with the different exhaust, however if I had to do it again (or if I get another chance), I would go with higher compression: 10.5:1 or 11:1.

You missed on the compression opportunity, and I'd think the single out muffler isn't doing you any good. I actually made a cap for one of the pipes on my flowmaster to quiet it up, when needed. I dyno'd with and without, and IIRC, there was a 7HP difference.
I did a 3.2 to 3.4 with:
- 98mm 9.5:1
- stock intake
- headers by RarelyL8 (with their heater boxes); 1 5/8" OD
- Dansk Sport 2in:1out muffler
- 964 grind camshaft set
- twin ignition
- corresponding Steve Wong Chip; inc. 94 octane

Yes, 'missed' - but easily rectified with money. I opted for single outlet just because I don't like the 'look' of dual-outlet on my year; and I wasn't interested in the 'sound' while driving around my neighborhood. But, at least now I know more quantitatively what I'm missing ;-)
