Ferrari America Spyder last summer driving in Dallas, parking in a parking lot amongst mere mortals for a car gathering. Two empty cans of Coors light on the floor behind the passenger seat.

That's Livin' Large!

I just saw an authentic 959 driving south down the 5 between Carlsbad and the 805 connector this afternoon (about 1:15 pm) ... just north of San Diego. I kept passing it so it would drive by me again and again. What a work of beauty!

Are you sure it was a Zonda? They are not federalized for US use. I know the man who was trying to get them to pass and he said it would never happen.

100 Percent positive, It had a NJ plate and was silver, I think there is a photo of it floating around the net.

Be curious how he got plates on it. I know Joe said they were not able to make it compliant with federal regs so major changes were needed. This would be the C9 which isn't scheduled to be imported until 2009.

Gothing:

There's an older gentleman about 10 miles from me who has two-tone
type III in his garage. He's converted it to 12v but hasn't driven it in years.
Interesting vehicles1

Well I checked and they are not street legal. They had issues with crash testing them and now they have issues with meeting the new OBD3 requirements.

I guess if you have enough money you can find a way to get anything on the road though. There are a number in the country and all of them are track use only according to my sources.

Yesterday, I was followed & passed by a red Porsche Spyder (think James Dean variety) on 120 in Roswell, GA. I don't know if it was real but it looked & sounded right. What a tiny cool car. It was a nice sunny day & the owner looked like he was really enjoying himself.

Looks like a C12 with Jersey plates alright. I bet the tags are illegal. If you have that much money to burn I guess your lawyer on retainer can pull whatever strings necessary to get you out of trouble. LOL

EDIT:

I think I recognize this plate. It belongs to an older gentleman who owns numerous cars including a CGT which has a rather similar plate number. IIRC this was the plate I saw on his Nobel.
