PopeMobile in San Francisco. Not my taste, but definitely very rare.

The Oscar Myer Hotdog mobile, driving south on the 405 FWY. I am pretty sure it is the only 1.

That one is at the corner of Hawthorne & Redondo Beach Blvd all the time. It's probably too big to park @ the guys house so he puts it in the grocery store lot.

I see a lot of nice Lambo's and Ferraris around the San Jose area but today it was a Nissan GT-R that was parked at a best buy in Mt. View. No pics to post but it was neat to see one in person. It has quite a menacing presence but looks too heavy to be as fast on a track as it is. Still haven't seen a Carrera GT around here which is one I'd really like to look at up close.

Here's a GT3 cup car (2008 I think) - feels kind of like cheating, but I saw it at Porsche Sport Driving School - great place to see all kinds of Porsches, depending what they have around when you're there. I lucked out this day, and got an awesome ride in this car with Cass Whitehead at the wheel. Video HERE.

Back in June, I was driving on Stone Mountain Freeway outside Atlanta, and had my camera handy to catch this oldie - probably not "rare" but old enough to be somewhat rare - 70's?

Years ago, I was living in the north hills of Pittsburgh, PA. I took my Pantera out every Sunday morning, early, for some exercise. One morning, I was cuising dlown Rte 19 when I saw a white car closing rapidly on me. In a flash, it went past me. I knew immediately that it was the "real deal" GT40. I found out later that it belonged to a local enthusiast. A beautiful car with an incredible sound.

The Pantera is long gone...

Yesterday I put my hands on the actual 'Back to the Future Delorean, the Michael Keaton Batmobile, and Evis' Cobra 427 from the movie Spinout.

Can post pics when I get to a computer next week af anybody wants to see them...

but I would prefer seeing Ferraris and old Maseratis.

I saw an orange Tesla on the road (HW 280 near the intersection with 92) about a month back. At first I thought it was a Lotus, but then I realized the tail lights were different...

This one stopped in the parking lot next to my building. I went up to ask for a hot dog....he didn't have any!

Saw a 1994 Turbo 3.6 S Flatnose in Scottsdale a few years back, just driving around town. Funny story, I happened to just browse the C-GT forum here a few weeks after that, and found a guy discussing his C-GT, and in his signature he listed a 94 flatnose, and he lives in Scottsdale. I emailed him, and yes it was him on that particular day just driving it around. the rest of his collection was pretty nice too, but I think this one was the most rare - only 76 built.

There were 76 for the world. Only 39 imported into the US and 17 package cars with the S package and no flachbau. Go to www.flachbau.com for more info. There are a few around here including a friends black on black IMO is the nicest color combo for the flachbau.

There is another here in NC, owned by Bob Ingram in his collection, but I only see it for car shows and display. Seeing one on the street in AZ kinda shocked me.

Also, there are like 3-4 959's here in the Carolinas. I know the owners of 2 of them (one's red the other silver), but me and others have seen a white one that we don't know who owns and there's a rumor of a black one floating around.
