On the roads in Honolulu, I've seen a GT40, Ford GT, Carrera GT, DP935, a real Ferrari Daytona and Dino.

Coming back on this one. Cool cars so far guys! I've also seen an Alfa SZ Zagato (three different ones!), Ferrari Superamerica and a DeLorean. The DeLorean looked so cool I had to check to see what it actually was.

Chrysler Turbine circa '63, when it was new. Guess that ages me, so what? I still listen to the Zepplin and Tool.

Default Long, long ago ---

As a teenager in Miami, FL, I remember seeing an RSK spyder and a Type 61 "Birdcage" Maserati on the road. Years later, in Texas, I saw a Blower Bently parked at the curb and watched a guy fire it up and drive away. We don't see many interesting or rare cars in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC, but I did see a C Jaguar (if it was fake, it was a good one) lst Summer and a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow pickup truck (can't be many of those around).

Ok - so neither of us were driving - but I was walking to the Grenedier Pub in London and walked past an open door of a garage - looked in to see a McLaren F1 and a Ferrari 330........ Did see the McLaren later in the week on the road - I was over there for the Goodwood Revival - apparently we just stumbled upon David Clarks garage....... Talk about amazing cars.....

Default porsche 959

on a dreary and rainy saturday in october 1989, i spotted a much ballyhooed 959 sitting at a service station on hwy 321 in hickory nc. i immediately turned around to go back to ensure myself of it being a real one and not an early kit! as i pulled into the station the 959 pulled out and went north, so i followed as that was also the direction i was traveling. i followed the porsche with two male occupants for about 30 miles. between blowing rock and boone the car exited onto the blue ride parkway. later that afternoon i was looking at a dupont registry and al holbert had two listed for 250,000 dollars per each!!! seems later that they were deemed not certified for highway use.

I spotted a Citroen-Maserati in my town many years ago with the air suspension
still working, plus an Aston Martin DB4 or 5 in a New Orleans used car lot back
in the mid-80's. Also, Lady Brown's personal DB4 ( lavender color) that had
been sitting behind a gas station in Brunswick, Ohio for many years prior
to discovery. It's believed to be the only Aston Martin painted that color.

I was at Elkhart a couple of years ago during ALMS/Generac 500. During the touring session, I managed to drag race a F40 down the front straightaway in my little acura rsx. Obviously he won by bus lengths and bus lengths. I got up to about 140 before I had to brake for turn 1. By the time I was entering turn 1, he was already exiting turn 1 hehe. fun times though.

I got to move one from one bay to another when I was 18. That was a thrill!

I spotted a TYPE III Ghis similar to the ad below last month.
I's time I've seen one in over 10 years

Reminded me a bit of the Corvair.
