Default TA-DAAA!

The link below will take you to a video that is posted for your consideration for a number of awards. They are:
1. Nobel Peace Prize (the one they give to nincompoops trying to use the Internet, or the sub-category for multiple failed attempts to use YouTube).
2. Academy Award (any category will do, just pick one and vote...).
3. Most articulate commentator (categories are (a) my wife, (b) my wife, or (c) my wife).

Anyway, , enjoy!

Awesome Pete.

"Getting pulled out of the chair honey..."

I got Linda to do Lime Rock once or twice, and a couple of autocrosses (in my Automatic SHO). She spun coming through the downhill onto the front straight at LRP, shook her up, but she got back out there after.

Nice video!

Great fun Pete and a thrilling revisit to Willow after running bikes there 40+ years ago. Thanks for the ride.

Never get tired of videos that conatin Porsches and race tracks.
So Am I understanding correctly that you were taking part in an upcoming movie about Porsches, and Robert Wagner is going to star in it?

I really enjoyed that video

For some reason, in that video, you feel like you're really experiencing the curves in the car.

Good job

Thanks guys, now that this one's done I'll try to edit some footage that we took during a street race in Ensenada, Mexico. Mexico? I know, I know - can't explain it, it just happened...

flatsix: The movie being filmed that weekend was called "Overdrive." I don't think that it enjoyed much, if any, success, but if you Google Robert Wagner or Steve Guttenberg you'll probably find some stuff on it. They recruited a few of us from SCCA, POC & PCA to film some opening race sequences, which was a lot of fun to do. We were all promised copies of the finished product, but you know how that goes. Needless to say, we didn't get anything, and I don't know where or how to find the movie on DVD. It's been a while since I looked, my only copy was bought from an Internet site quite a few years ago.

IMDB link to 'Overdrive'

I don't think it is as good as the classic porsche file 'no man's land'. I watched that the other day, it was entertaining in a cheesy way and almost every scene had a 911 in it.

Pete, nice film, very entertaining. Really a beautiful track as well. You weren't going to tangle with that other 911?

No, my self-imposed limit with a passenger is about 8/10ths , and we won't even talk about the fact that that car had 40 more hp and was about 300 lbs lighter !!!

That was great Pete! You should give your brave wife an Oscar for her narration! She could not only put it on the mantle, but could also use it to process some tasty track snacks come next race day (oooh, I'm such a sexist ).

Looking forward to the sequel!
