Default 1974 Porsche 911S Targa restoration project

1974 Porsche 911S under restoration. Last week we painted the body and now it is of to assembly. Vipergrün Diamant is a lovely color!

Dang, was the car even safe to drive prior to the renovation? The green looks great!

If cars could talk, that one would have a lot of stories to tell!

great pics - wow. it never ceases to amaze me the prior sins one uncovers when tearing these cars down. i am shocked by the patchwork of rust remediation. cannot undervalue a good sheet metal guy and body shop.

And the metal work begins. A lot of weeks ahead of metal fabrication, fitting new parts, welding, grinding, etc. As we dig deeper, it is not going to give us any good news.

Some progress has been made. But it still is long ways before it is ready for paint.
