Long time from the previous post, but the work did not stop. Had to deal some final adjustments and the car at the moment is actually on the road already. But there are still things to show before we can get to the final result.
I hate to mention this at this point - but did you know you can actually buy a brand new Porsche Targa right from the factory? Saves a lot of time and work and about the same cost I suspect when your done.
even though yours will not likely depreciate much as compared to the 2021.
I had a new 1970 911 T Targa bought new from a dealer and sadly sold it in 1983 for the same original cost of $8,500. Now worth just about the same a a brand new 911 2021 Targa 4 from the dealer.
if I could find that original Targa from exactly 50 years ago I would probably try to restore it like you do this Targa. It was signal Orange. Having watches your effort - I hope I never ever find that original Targa from 1970- I am content with my brand new 2021 Targa being assembled this week in Germany while I am watching TV and taking a nap.
Your car is a true work of art- almost too precious to drive on the street with all the crazy drivers out there in pick up trucks and Mom Vans.
