^ I was going to comment how clean your motor was even in the previous pics. I would happily have given multiple 6-packs to have had a cleaner motor and transmission for my tear down experience! My motor had never been split and had 47 years worth of gunk on it and I have (no joke) spent more than 3 days cleaning up my transmission now that the motor is torn down.

Not that it matters, but it looks like a couple of the mains have some wear on them, which I wouldn't expect at 20k mileage - again, it doesn't really matter anyway and the motor overall looks good

I have't seen the motor live, its hard to say with the reflection in the pics... looks like some of wear marks unclear if thats a shadow or oil tho... I saw the same.

But yeah, it's all being redone.

trying to lock down the build spec by next week so we can start ordering parts. some have longer lead times.

^ I can't wait to get to that point! I am actually going to be driving to Ollie's towards the end of the year. I am doing college tours with my son and we will be headed to AZ at that time - great opportunity to drop off some Porsche parts for machining!

Ollies has been very helpful on various ideas the shop has for things they want to do that might be outside the norm on these. Yes, they are 50 years old cases. But the idea is some known formulas with lots of new tech applied. So maybe a bit resto-mod in nature.

I'll provide a few more details on who's doing the build and who is doing some advising for ideas later :-)
