I did the Soul OAP on my Spyder and thinking to do the same on the SRS. The Soul OAP made a big difference on start up and mid range higher. Stock SrRS was milder at start up.

I’m also in Michigan. Do you have a recommended PPF installer?

I’ve used detail shops in Atlanta during my prior PEC Atlanta deliveries, but they no longer seem to be in business.

Car is fantastic and is definitely more visceral vs the Spyder (which I like a lot). SRS is loud and above 75 mph ithere's a good amount of wind noise, whether the top is up or down. It is off to get PPF today and even more fun awaits!

Anyone else’s exhaust valves rattle for a fair bit on start up??

That top error seems to be related to moisture. Whenever I wash the car that error kicks in.

Yes, all do the same; as soon as I start the car, I open the valves, and it stops, or if not, it takes several seconds to stop

It seems to make all sorts of odd noises on start up. Seems to settle out mostly, but still a tiny bit rattly at rest, even after fully warmed up.

I don't notice on startup, but oddly I can hear them open and close at times (the actual valve mechanism). Not sure if the valve itself is any different from the regular Spyder, as I don't recall ever hearing them on that car.

Finally finished break in and did my first autocross in Spyder RS:

Please don't judge harsh as I am casual racer.
The car is pretty much stock with only camber adjustment, with cup 2 (Cup 2 sucks for autocross as it doesn't get hot enough).
It certainly had a lot more power than my old 981 GTS. But what's surprising to me is that it also had a lot more grip than my old car that is on RT660 and with more suspension tuning.

I have 500 miles on my SRS and haven't had to use the FAL even once. I go to Costco to fill up and no problems going over the speed bumps. I only got FAL because my GT4 does scrap if I don't have the right angle transitioning from my driveway to the street, but had no problems with the SRS. Since the SRS has a shorter front lip, I think that's really the big difference. It's really too bad Porsche didn't provide FAL for the GT4 as it would have been much more used on my GT4 than on my SRS.

The SRS is definitely less prone to scrapes. The FAL is likely unnecessary for 90 % of north american driving. But I expect it’s useful for some older hilly cities like SF, Seattle, etc.

That said I recently finished ED in my SRS and I would have been screwed and stuck in many situations in Europe without FAL. Really glad I checked the box, which I suggest if you do ED.

Knew there was a 200kph limit on the top, but don’t remember reading about an accompanying warning message.

Whelp at exactly 125mph a top Overspeed warning popped in the MFD.

Unlike the 987 Spyder at this speed not much drama. 987 was unbearable

The wider stance helps A LOT along withe other suspension goodies and better PASM tuning...

COSTCO FOR GAS???? puke

Do they sell 93oct there?

I use FAL here and there, it is hand when you need it. I did a little scrap the other day, thought I wouldn't need it and heard it....

If you leave FAL activated in the garage when she is resting is that bad? My cleaning guy did, two nights.

Nothing wrong with Costco gas.

It's Top Tier just like all the other "branded" gas stations.

The only thing you're getting at a national branded gas station is higher prices.
