Does anyone know the total number of 718 Spyders in Canada?

😂😂😂

I guess you haven’t tried to previously purchase a Porsche GT car in California during the last decade ?

The 718 GTS is reasonable- I realize the GT4RS is a stretch but am also hearing some GT4RS's are now going at MSRP. Happy to buy outside of CA.

Tell me where there are 4RSs selling for MSRP. I'm curious

Brainofjjj: Apparently Phoenix.

We don't know how the dealership valued the trade. It's all well and good to get a new car at MSRP, but if you get hosed on the trade, then the dealership still got their ADM.

I've talked to a Phoenix dealer specifically that sells 4RS's at MSRP and they required the following: Local resident only, you must give them a GT car as a trade in(which they will offer you 20k or more under market on) and must also buy some extras(I forget the exact extras but it was a combination of watch/PPF/financing/maintenance). As someone calling from Cali they refused to deal with me unless I made the deal very sweet for them(take a bigger bath on trade in).

Does anyone know when the next round of allocations might drop? I’m pretty sure I won’t be getting one, but I’d like to time my “just happened to be in the area” dealership drop-in accordingly. Thanks.

That Phoenix dealer belongs in a large network that has a no-ADM policy. That network doesn't own the actual dealerships though so some of them would find ways around that policy without breaking it. Some apply more gaudy "extras" than others like the Phoenix one.

I am buying my SRS (currently in the middle of Atlantic) from another dealer in that same network - the effective extra $ is $3,000. Don't bother asking who that dealer is because their waitlist is already 100 times more than their allocations if they bothered to keep that many names at all. And they are an honorable dealer so they don't take incoming offers of X amount ADM to skip those already on the waitlist. I got an allocation only because I got on their SRS waitlist over 2 years ago.

In the end, if you are just now looking to get an SRS or 4RS allocation, the only probable way is to pay a hefty ADM in one form or another. I won't say never because nothing is absolute, but the chance is only slightly better than winning a lottery.

FYI - spoke to Palm Springs Porsche, and they were offering SRS allocation at MSRP ( no ADM ) as long as you are local, or have a "special"car to trade and give them 1st offer on the SRS if/when you decide to sell. They were ok with a regular 718 Spyder as the trade. Did not get into details though. Maybe someone wants too jump on that while its available. I already have an SRS that I paid a hefty ADM as well as trading in my Spyder, so I have no play in this game. Sounds too good to be true, but it is great deal if it is

Friend just called them and this is what he was told: It’s not an allocation but an order demand. They’ve delivered 2 cars and have 4 in production. 8 more sitting in the order demand queue. They got 6 this year and expect at least the same next year. If no one drops out, then they likely won’t have enough to fill demand before production stops.
