I would be pretty conflicted if I was ever offered an allocation. But I hope I get the chance to make that decision.

Personally I love everything about this car (yes, even the roof) but if I had my wish, forget about the RS moniker and just make it a Spyder R or something like that. And with a manual option. I agree with PDK for the track version (many disagree) but since this is more of a road car out of the box, it would be nice to have a stick, something in the same vien as the speedster.

Regardless, I'll be more than happy to suck that up as the only objection I have.

Thought I'd throw out a single dealer data point on the first allocations.

Someone has contacted the dealership and apparently is Ok with $150K over

Don't know if that's legit...but it did come from an SA.

He did pass that 4RSs have been around $75K.

Anyway, good hunting out there.

Cheers

What he said was a potential customer threw that out, I assume they’ll take it if valid.

Don’t laugh too hard, I remember early 4RSs being advertised at $400K. Remember original MSRP? $141K.

They’ll be stupid numbers being thrown around.

I’ve already had $75K floated and on another board someone posted $40K with no purchase history.

Waiting to hear from my local center.

I expect spring 2024 allocations to hit Aug/Sept.

Let's be real, only a desperate moron will pay $150k over MSRP for the car. They will be readily available for anyone for $50-75k over after the 2nd round of allocations come. My dealer told me I could have an MSRP Spyder RS allocation but I'd have to trade in my GT4RS....uhhh, not gonna happen.

Anyone get this email too? What does this actually mean? Means I’m in?

One sales guy I know, in Canada, said a GM is looking for trade-ins which cut trade value by $100k. So that’s on data point in a market of about 2 million. Imagine giving your spyder and getting a $30k trade credit LOL….I think they always throw these wild number out to start.

f*** that - not worth it IMO - let the dealer pay for their kids education themselves ...

Zero chance of trading in my Spyder. Even if I got an allocation, as compelling as that engine is, I would be missing the stick shift. And the trade in value plus the painful luxury tax. No way around it. It makes the 718 Spyder a unique modern day vehicle- ME drop top naturally aspirated and manual. Try and find another manufacturer doing this. Other than GMA and a few others.

What is everyone's opinion on your speculation for the following dates for the 2024 Spyder RS:

First allocations released date for US cars
Production dates for first US cars
First US cars land at dealers

Thx!
