Do you have a reference for that?

If you’re referring to Osnabrucke expansion, they’ve been building 718 Caymans there for awhile…including GT4s. Check you VIN for a K.

PAG announced expanding Osnabrucke 718 production starting summer 2023.

That’s different Zuff not making anymore 718s.

True. I more meant they would be making 4RS and Spyder RS at Zuff,
and I assume given the low volume of other 718 models that GTS and below will be entirely moved to Osnabrucke around the same time the MY24 comes into effect.

It doesn't make sense given the car is end of life and demand is softening that they would be making GTS and lower at both plants, but technically not impossible.

Oh ok; yes they’ll be pumping out RSs like there is no tomorrow. Over 1100 already en route NA in less than a MY. Think GT4 saw 700 a year in it’s heyday.

Rare…lolz.

Sure PAG pulled out all the stops to make a one off 4L GT4. It’s not like AP’s going to state that they’re designing the 992 GT3 mill to fit in the 982 chassis years before reveal…right?
I know that, which was exactly the point I was making earlier when you referenced AP saying they would make enough for everyone that wanted one. He's can answer the question however he likes, but it would be foolish for anyone to take it as gospel.

but I'm sure as **** not going to pay ferrari/mclaren/lambo/GT2RS money for a cayman that is just not smart to me
I consider 4rs as a better version of f458, more driver focused with favorable size & porsche quality & reliability too boot. Aesthetically it's falling behind but can't have it all

Given a choice, a GT4RS will always be a better choice than a 992 GT3.

There was never a GT4RS before, and there won't be another one after. This is the last chance to get one. One and only chance actually.

There are 7 generations, soon to be 8, of GT3s for people to choose from. And even more down the line now that combustion engine is given a lifeline in the EU.

GT4RS is last of its kind, like a 993, last of the air-cooled. Not a few years ago, people think it's crazy to pay over 150k for a 993 turbo. Now they are at 200k, if not touching 300k for a really good one.

The Huracan Technica is really the only one you could get for $250k new, and that would be a near 0 option car.

Yeah sure you could cross shop against some pretty nice used cars, but most of them are likely now out of warranty, and depending on the brand, maintenance costs significantly higher.

At the end of the day, people want what they want, and those with FU money will likely already have some of those cars, or have previously owned them.
