FWIW: Here are some instrux to augment the prior pics. There are a few helpful YouTube videos as well, but the guy taking off the front bumper on the yellow wrapped red car made a few mistakes such as ripping the front corner lights off incorrectly.
718 Boxster GTS 4.0 Front Bumper Removal
◦ 1.) Remove front rubber weatherstripping.
◦ 2.) Unclip plastic shrouds. (Remove top, then sides, then front). Pull sides around the back of frunk.
◦ 3.) Remove 3 T-30 screws on top of bumper.
◦ 4.) Remove side fender/bumper connector slide clips with a hook tool or wire.
◦ 5.) If not jacking the car, Turn wheels inward to gain access to fender liners.
◦ 6.) Remove side corner markers. Slide back, push on back portion, pull front out, unclip connector.
◦ 7.) Remove 1 T-30 & 1 T-25 screws for fender liner (2 on liner, 1 connecting bumper to fender).
◦ 8.) Remove 12 T-30 under bumper screws.
◦ 8.a) Remove 1 Deep underneath Fender Liner T-30 Screw/side, facing up.
◦ 9.) Masking tape on fender and headlight to avoid scratches from removing/replacing bumper.
◦ 10.) Remove Bumper corners.
◦ 11.) Remove top of inner liner screw to create room to unplug turn signal cable.
◦ 12.) Remove Washer hose, then clip, then unplug hose. (Not necessary for just installing sensors, just swing bumper out from passenger’s side towards driver’s side carefully to expose backside of bumper).
◦ 13.) Have a moving blanket or pad ready to rest bumper on.
◦ 14.) You’ll have room to disconnect the blank sensor and install working ones from behind the bumper. This avoids having to drain the washer fluid reservoir if choosing to disconnect headlight washer fluid hose.
718 Boxster GTS 4.0 Rear Bumper Removal
◦ 1.) Remove Taillight bolts inside trunk on the sides. Bolts are deep inside/behind black rubber covers.
◦ 2.) Use trim tool to pry Taillights along inside edge, Pull straight out, unclip. Be careful not to drop tail light (Don't ask!!!).
◦ 3. ) Raise Spoiler, Remove 6 inward Torx Screws with a small/micro-ratchet
◦ 4.) Remove 2 Nuts holding under the spoiler black plastic bracket.
◦ 5.) Remove inside fender liner Torx screws. & under bumper torx screws prior to removing the rear bumper.

Thank you for the extremely quick replies. I am curious about the PIWIS activation coding. I do like to work on my cars and wouldn't mind buying a PIWIS tool. Do you have any recommendations for specific models? Or should I just take the car to an independent repair shop in SoCal and let them do it? Any idea of the costs between the two methods? Thanks

Have @718socal activate them for you once installed. He has way more familiarity with the Engineering Mode of PIWIS 3 software than probably all dealership service techs let alone independent service guys. Most just use the software strictly for diagnostic reasons, not activating new features not already on the car, aside from Power Steering Plus, etc. I'm sure he would be happy to help you out for a nice tribute $$ for his time.

It's actually not bad. If you have a lift or jack/jackstands, that makes it much easier/faster. I had removed my front bumper to swap out my Boxster 25 Years Neodyme grill with just a micro ratchet (T25 & T30 bits) and no jack/jackstands. Totally doable, but the second time I removed the front bumper and rear bumper to install the active sensors, I decided to invest in a power ratchet. Huge time saver. @718socal activated them remotely within mere minutes.

Thanks for the instructions, just got home from work and I’m going to start removing the bumpers. Special thanks to 718socal, he coded my sensors on Sunday, as well as a few other goodies! And although I ordered the sensors last week, they won’t be in for a couple more days. I’ll update after the install and let everyone know how it goes. Thanks again for all the advice and support!

Rear is easier, just make sure you can remove the 6 torx on the leading edge of the rear spoiler before you start taking other stuff apart. The rest is pretty easy. You need to raise the car to get at 3 of the screws at the bottom of the apron. Don't rush it, take your time. Have you got a plan for coding?
