What are you basing your Spyder production ending by years end on exactly?

I was told by a dealer in Canada that exactly, no more Spyders after this May allocation period, production done at end of year as well. (Although one of your mods tends not to believe that. Then I noticed you said the same thing)

I got very lucky and found a brand new car almost near my perfect spec on the lot. Dealer ordered or cancelled order I’m not sure, either way worked out for me. Bought at MSRP. I have long history with my sales guy.

I found a new unsold Spyder at Porsche Tacoma with a 120k MSRP. When I inquired, they said they are asking for a 60k ADM! Bonkers!

Because that is clearly ludicrous, is there possible some rational for this pricing? IE is there something that the dealers know that we do not yet know? I cannot imagine anyone would consider purchasing this car near $200k. I get it, the car is a total riot and I love the one I just got. But I do not love it THAT much.

When you can't get a used 992 gt3 for less than $300k+...why not $200k for a spyder? It's not any more ludicrous. I'm not saying the prices will last, but it doesn't seem inconsistent.

Here’s the reason. According to the ad It’s an All Wheel Drive 7-speed PDK.

The 2022 718 Spyder is powered by a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated boxer 6 engine producing 414 hp and 309 lb-ft of torque through an All Wheel Drive 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung.
