To each their own, of course, but there are so many attractive options once you get above $200k or even $225k that it really changes the equation. I had an opportunity on a dealer spec’d car with a $25k adm which would have been around $224k before taxes and it’s just too much imo.

It feels weird agreeing with you

For my low spec GT4RS ~$168k I could make a case for it to replace my GT4. But for $200k+ the 991.2 GT3RS would be my Droid.

Maybe I missed it, but where are “dealers begging” people to take 4RS allocations?

Not if you want an allocation and to spec your own car. Since 98% of the 4RS's have been sold with an ADM I'd disagree. I love how some of you guys think you are teaching Porsche a lesson! Every car gets sold. I'm not bragging about paying an ADM but I have been driving for almost three years and spec'd my dream car and did a ATL experience center delivery. Worth every penny of that 35K. And I'll get it back. I'd rather be driving..

It's funny seeing everyone think they will get MSRP 0 option GT4RS's especially when dealers know how to play the game and maximize profit. Instead of selling it to you at MSRP with 0 options they will instead spec it themselves with 30k+ options that they make a bigger profit on and sell it in the showroom for MSRP at 200k+ if it ever even comes to that. That is already what dealers are doing when they can't get the specific markup and instead make it when selling the car once it lands specced themselves.
Also there's so many people waiting for 15-20k over for a markup that they will have to absorb that inventory first which seems like there's 0 chance it hits MSRP.

Understood and agreed. Then why all the complaining? And posting? My point as I stated before is half these guys are not even buyers or don't have the money. There are over (100) 170K lightly used cars for sale on the market. Not sure why they aren't buying a car? And thinking you are going outsmart Porsche and get an allocation for 167K is well, funny.

I wish all could order at msrp the exact way we wanted but at least trade/private values are high. Kind of offsets smaller ADM's. As ADM's come down, so will trade values, sometimes it is a wash. Unlikely that 10-20% of the car price in ADM will dictate your enjoyment, especially with inflation and potential large msrp increases.
Hope all get one and enjoy, it's worth the price of admission, whatever you paid. Nothing else like it.

You know, it sure would be nice if things got cheaper over time. In my experience new Porsches simply don't do that lol.

Some folks here need to go back and read the ((years)) of similar talk in GT3 threads. A decades worth of data shows that GT cars are pay to play, there is no getting around that.
Also if demand is in fact softening, then I would say that puts to rest the possibility of Porsche continuing to produce 4RS's for MY2025.
Preowned examples will need to start selling at sticker en masse for ADMs to come down - which also isn't happening.
