I am finding dealers are wanting to see who is silly enough to pay the highest ADM.

Porsche Charleston has one that buyer went cold on them. WP car with sofas. 30k ADM for in state buyer.

That's the whole point of ADM "to see who is silly enough to pay the highest ADM."

Sofa 4RS specs have always been hard to move and sell at a discount, even when the first ones were delivered the Sofa cars could only get a 50-60 ADM while other 4RS's got 70-80k+. It's all about the right spec which is why people also pay more for their own allocation than a used example.

Sofa seat 4RSs should be selling for under MSRP, Porsche should have made sofa seats a CXX option that would cost another $10k+ for all GT RS cars.

I would go sofa seats in SRS every time.

Sofa seats make a car less an RS. But SRS isn't really an RS anyway, so I guess it's ok.

My new vanity plate is "18WAYS". I tried loving the LWB's, they sure are pretty, but they're for the genetically gifted and or masochists. Looks like mine will be under MSRP before even taking delivery. Sad...

agree that a GT3RS or GT4RS should be LWB, but Spyder RS is a different car. I’m ordering 18 ways for my incoming Spyder RS.

Folks want a comfortable bum while their ears bleed. I’m guessing it’s still plenty RS. Only hardcores need apply.

I have a 4RS on order, and I don’t consider even that to be a full ‘RS’, because they didn’t do everything they could to make it faster on track (more aero and better suspension).

But regardless of what it’s called, it’s the best and fastest street-legal Cayman they’ve made for the track, and it’s quite fast with a good track setup, so I’m good with it.

Similarly, SRS is the raciest Boxster/Spyder they’ve made for the road, even if the aero stuff on the car is mostly for show.

The SRS aero is only for show if you choose not to track the car. If it is approx as stiff as the vanilla spyder, it'll be plenty competent on the track (and sometimes better, depending on the specific track surface). Boxsters have always made epic track cars, spyders even better, and there is no reason to think the SRS won't be the pinnacle of that aspect as well.

Mine will see track time.

No rear wing means there’s not much rear downforce, which means there’s not much front downforce either. The SRS will be pretty fast on track, but because of the tires, suspension, and power, not aero. And owners will need to decide whether they’re comfortable going 140+ mph in a topless car. I certainly wouldn’t be, and I’d refuse to instruct in such a car.

If there is no aero...then what aero are you claiming is just for show? There is aero, and it's designed for neutrality / balance (no lift), as AP described.

Who's on first?
