You should have received an email from Porsche within a few days of order acceptance. If you haven't, call your dealer and have them verify your email and ask them directly what "V" status you are at and to send you proof.

Hm, my dealer has an allocation for June build. Not sure when they got it, but it's not yet spoken for.

Some June allocations were also handed out in November and I’m told are ‘23s.

What’s the ADM on the allocation?

Do we know when they will switch over to MY24? or those allocations start coming out/the configurator being available?

One might think that, but the model year switch over was half way through June for the GT4 I had delivered in 2021. So, the real answer is "it depends."

Hence the word 'typically'

I believe I have an allocation for June build to deliver in August and they are telling me its MY24.
I'm not going to worry about configuring until I'm told when - I am hoping that some things become more optionable. For instance, I saw some videos and pics of European cars that have the Wiessach pack but with partially painted hood (the CF looks like s stripe more than covering the whole hood). Also hoping more colors would be available as options (vs. going to PTS). Maybe some other cool options as well. They gotta do something different don't they?

I don't know if Porsche has done this in the past when going between model years on the same gen GT cars - does anyone have experience on what changed?

March. Considered June briefly, hoping maybe a PTS slot would open, both SA and GM opined that was a long shot as Dakar taking all PTS slots.

Just checked in w/my dealer over the weekend. The GM expects some allocation info to get released end of March / early April. For all cars not just GT4 RS. But he’s hoping to see RS slots. So anyway - congrats to guys actually that have slots.

The other tidbit - he seemed fairly certain they would produce the car into model year 2024 (and calendar year 2024). But he wasn’t very firm on that assertion. Cited how porsche surprised the dealers by stopping 992 GT3 production abruptly.

Guy seems very honest so - I’m believing it for now.

Hope he's right...but a very reliable dealer principal posted something to the affect that most GT car allocations for calendar year '23 (not model year) have been issued (late last year).

Next batch of GT car allocations come this November. IDK.
