I could recoup a lot of myoney thru 3rd party sales... But I'm not willing to put in the time for that. I'm eyeing an R8 for the v10 before they're all gone. My short list before the EVs completely take over......

Mercedes AMG 63, checkPorsche flat 6, check
Audi V10, pending
👍 my father in law just traded his cayman GTS for an R8 RWS. After checking it out and test driving it for him… I was hoping he’d pass on it so I could buy it.

I've taken a few naps on the couch there! HVAC, wash bay, two post lift, kitchen, bath and lounge area... what else could a guy ask for?

I have a line on a grey 4RS for $50k over, sitting on a showroom floor. Texas residents only. DM for details (am not looking for a cut, just helping out my SA). I've seen the spec, and it has pretty much all the performance goodies: WP, mags, no PCCB, and just a few other misc options.

Okay, here is the spec. And to be clear, they want $50k over that sticker (as I was told). Buy it and sell it to Houston.

This ADM mindset is very interesting. A year ago people were paying 100K over MSRP on PTS 997.2 RS's with the right mileage. Now we think 50K over is crazy. Peoples mentality is more conservative at the moment for sure. To me this is in the ballpark..

There is a difference between a used car Market Value and a new car ADM.

Some of it is a mental barrier, so I do agree with that.

This one is new, delivery miles only. Dealer spec car. Although not “spec your own car” new of course. But then there is no wait.

If it was a ragtop, I might bite.

Not a bad spec but it's still a shame that they hoarded it for themselves instead of giving it to a good local customer.

At least they left off the PCCBs, so it would appeal to a track hound; not a pointlessly high spec car for a country club cruiser.

In my mind in both situations you are outlaying more cash then the msrp value of the car. In some ways to me the ADM is easier to swallow as it’s a new car. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, the used car dealers in CA sell used GT cars with high markups.... Just not calling them ADM.

Why wouldn’t you track PCCB’s? I’ve got the Manthey brake upgrade on mine just precisely to be able to track it without longevity issues, fading issues or dust issues, all with superior brake performance.

How does Manthey kit improve longevity? If you’re swapping out components, then you’re not really running P-ccb anyway, are you? Might as well get steels and upgrade with ST conversion kit. I’m genuinely asking (not being snarky), as I’m not familiar with the Manthey upgrade.

In essence the Manthey pads are the older version 991 pads. Difference is that in most EU countrys they are TUV certified for street driving. Rules are stricter than over here regarding to warranty, etc when other parts are exchanged, modified, etc. If it cannot be entered into the book you take your chances at next required inspection.
