JAhmed is only worried because he doesn't want us to have a short ratio 6MT like he does!

West,

Hey I hope for the best.

But if it was that simple would have done it a long time ago and not keep the drivetrain at 309 TQ.

You’ve read the threads.

If they weren’t terminating the ME ICE then I’d say yes, makes sense.

What is the warranty with DeMan? What is the warranty with Porsche? Who is in it for the long haul? Fanboys keep forgetting this. Especially the ones that constantly bring it up but have not done it themselves. Afterall its never their own pocketbook that gets spent.

I hear you, but does it make sense to do all the engineering they did to fit the gt3 motor in a "relatively few" 4rs?

I'm just counting on AP to know what is right, what is epic, and how to send off the boxster platform properly. I may be totally wrong, but he's the smart man who gave us a legendary 4rs that no one expected to be nearly as EPIC as it is.

That was an easy fix to accommodate both chassis. New transmission, that’s up to a supplier and cost basis.

You would have to ask him.

I don't think anybody is forgetting anything... but I do see you have ordered a GT4 RS with a PDK, perhaps you also don't want Porsche to put the 6MT in the Spyder RS

Only speaking about myself and the short ratio gear set, as I have an eye on the Spyder RS it wouldn't make any sense to modify a car that will be traded back in on the new RS, my dealer likes the trade-in's stock.

Oh and one last thing, this is a "Speculation Thread"!

I think AP will find a way because it is the right thing to do.

Name me any other fact / aspect that would make the excitement rocket off the charts like an unexpected MT would, especially if it has shorter ratios. The motoring press' heads would collectively explode. As would all the forums. All the MT fanboy YouTube reviewers would declare the second coming. It would be Porsche marketing's coup of the century. Speedster? What speedster?

Maybe they won't, but what a missed opportunity.

Ya I hear, just a little dreaming and speculation on what I would want in my ultimate Spyder, if they do the 6MT with GT3 engine, great, and if not then I already have my ultimate Spyder!

Changed the name from Speculation to Discussion.

Stand by for Spyder RS Allocation Thread.

I’m in negotiations with my dealer on OTD costs.

Worth separating speculation and dreaming.

Speculation is an honest attempt to get it right.. dreaming is la-la land which is fine, but then it should be cushioned as such.

They aren't making a new manual to fit one ultra limited halo car... when there is no car which will ever follow it which will need an engine or transmission. This is speculation, but also backed up by some info. It's what's happening actually but.. hey, I'm also not inside Porsche.

But If I were dreaming... then id talk ab the 4.2L which is in the works with the pneumatic valvetrain for 10k revs.

See the difference?

Maybe they'll incorporate the 4RS flipped engine layout into the Speedster, avoiding the bubble butt.

10k revs and 4.2L!? That sounds like the 3RS and if so that is going to be epic!?

For the 992.1 RS, that’s closer to dreaming than speculation. That dream will come true one day, I hope.
