Welp.....I'm thrilled to report that while adjusting it very slightly, my fat fingers dropped the hex key wrench. It is now mocking me from the bottom of the console while I try to find my magnet wand to go magnet fishing.
I did manage to get initial pics and love it so far.
So, as soon as that fishing expedition is over I'll have a more exciting report. Although this report is pretty funny.

As for pulling a trailer with attachment to the tow hook, the systems have seen for this have bars that bolt to the reinforcement bar behind the bumper, relying on just the tow hook thread would be a dangerous IMHO. The tow hook was designed to pull the car for a short distance for recovery, not bear weight vertically.

Certainly helps to know the intended use , still continual bouncing will likely crack the tow hook or the threaded insert, I would recommend inspection on a regular basis.

You are correct that some have put some reinforcement bars behind the bumper. Others I have seen just relied on the tow hook.
Having said that, the alternative is a Seasucker bike rack that affixes to glass with suction cups or a some of the very low quality strap on racks that don't fit a 718. At the end of the day, most bike racks aren't very secure and honestly no hitch mounted racks look secure to my eye.
Thank you for the input.

Just took delivery of my car yesterday and was looking at this, then I realized that the yellow triangle itself is just a sticker. No need to tape over it if you want to leave the fingerprint-resistant protective covering on... Just hold down the cover with two fingers while you peel off the yellow sticker with your fingernail. Done.

Picked up some new sneakers and also 7mm spacers in the rear. Finally, Michelins, the way g-d intended!
Pardon the bright lugs. Longer black ones arrive tomorrow.
A cleanup and ceramic before installation
I love my A5 Sportback... roomy!
My first time using spacers.
