I’m not in the same boat as you as I have steels, but I spray the calipers head on, and dont bother with overspray, with no issues thus far.

I’ll add other tips that has really helped with keeping the dust down:

When washing the car, leave the emergency brakes released.
Wheel cleaner (Tuga) sprayed (IK pump sprayer 50/50 diluted) onto the calipers, rotators, wheel well, face. I agitate the product on the rotors/calipers using a bores hair brush. Using a pressure washer, target the rotors, aim the nozzle towards the brakes, and keep rinsing this entire area until you see the water running clear. Respray these areas with wheel cleaner and begin you regular wheel cleaning process (clean the wheel barrels). Use Hyde’s rust stopper, and apply Wet Coat to each wheel. It’s critical to apply these products once you have finished each wheel, not after you get them all cleaned, bc steels will begin to rust up within minutes.

Cleaning the brakes out, and the drilled rotors to free the baked in dust is vital. This is also a great method to follow for those experiencing brake squealing. I washed my car using this method last weekend (500 miles later), and in my eyes, the wheels have 50% less dust on them which is livable for my OCD.

Disclaimer, this is not a paid endorsement
Yes PCCB basically are dust free but I do like to keep them protected. Overspray on steels isn’t an issue but with carbon brakes I’ve stories of having issues with these spray on type coatings. I’m just being extra cautious with expensive rotors, ha.

Seriously, it would be like (Apples to Oranges) it's that much difference.

I now have over 7,000 miles on my 718 GT4 and the wheels stay clean for a Long-long time !!!

What do you feel is the the difference in braking between the stock metallic and the Hawk ceramic pads?

I'd suggest a new thread should be created for these pads since there is so much interest.

Well buddy in my situation I had a lot of things done on my GT4 at PON (Porsche of Nashville) before I took delivery.

That being the case I cannot really comment anything useful with the braking from Stock Pads to the Hawk Performance Ceramic pads I have.

If this helps I have also ran the Hawk Performance Ceramic Pads on many performance cars and Never-Ever had an issue doing so.

That includes the GT4 that is now 1-year old with 7,000 miles it brakes just as one would expect each and every time even at 100 MPH plus speeds.

Same here. Have hawk PC pads on all my P cars. Braking is on par with stock pads. I had 900 miles with the stock pads on the Spyder before changing it out to Hawk PC, no difference in braking or brake feel.

And how was the dust in comparison to OEM?

it’s 70% less black dust. On my silver p cars with silver wheels, I can go on for 2 months driving without washing and the wheels don’t look like they are coated with black dust. There will be brake dust, and they are not black and not in a copious amount like the stock pads.

Had day off.

Foam / full detail
Jescar powerlock, this stuff is really good. Car feels very smooth and has a nice deep wet finish.
Side scoop stickers is what I bought for the car . Surprised it doesn't come from the factory with the stickers considering the "GT4" is already etched into the side scoop. Usually not a fan of stickers but it looks complete now.
