The thread is called 'what did you buy for your GT4 today', so if someone bought an exhaust they cant post about it?

people can, but based on the post it sounds like you haven't actually bought an exhaust yet. I think what he wants to avoid is this thread turning into a conversation about what exhaust sounds best when this is supposed to be about what you have just purchased for the car.

Sure you can! But the poster asked about exhaust choices, and this is not the thread for that. We come here to learn about what people are buying for their cars, and not read about another argument about which exhaust is best, etc. That did not happen yet but I could see it coming so I just wanted to remind everyone what this thread is for. By the way, I have Soul exhaust components and would not change a thing!

Here is a 41 page start @Montaver . . . there are also Kline dedicated threads

I am sure you know this and have probably already read most of them

Moderator just does not want this to become another exhaust thread . . . seems more than reasonable

By the way, congratulations!

Can these sizes be installed on OEM rims?

Thanks - I have a set on order with these sizes (245/35R-20 Bridgestone Potenza RE980AS+ XL, 295/30R-20 Bridgestone Potenza RE980AS+ XL) but my confusion lies in the different sizes showing on my Porsche App (screen shot below). I don't want my tire guy to bring in a set of tires that are mismatched to the OEM rims!

HRE FF11
9x20 ET50 (the extra .5" gives it a nicer wider stance)
and 11x20 ET50
The question here is OEM wheels for which model, the information shown in the iOS Good to know app are for the GTS 4.0l cars, the Bridgestone tires listed above are the OEM size for the GT4/Spyder.

Additionally, the HRE wheels mentioned directly above are not OEM sizes for the GT4/Spyder.

As you have listed a GTS 4.0l car (because this is what you have) then the summer tires size you see there 235/40 and 265/40 are correct given those wheel widths.

@Toon902 do you have a GTS 4.0 or a GT4 or a Spyder?

Many thanks! I have a CGTS 4.0, so I ordered the wrong sizes. Hopefully my guy can change them before they ship...

FWIW many people including myself are running GT4 sizes on our GTS 4.0's.

As Z06jerry has mentioned, you could run those tire sizes on the GTS wheels, the front wheel width is 8.5" which is the same as the GT4/Spyder and the rear wheel is 10.5" and although 1/2" narrower than a GT4/Spyder OEM wheel (11") the 295 tire will fit.

The decision is yours on this one...
