Double hitter tonight!

Got to test out my new QuickJack that I purchased from Costco a couple weeks ago (was on special). Man where has this thing been all my life... I've been working on my own cars for nearly 30 years and I could have used this a lot sooner.

Also got to install my new Apex wheels... Loving the new look! Was pretty dark by the time I wrapped up but I hope to get to head out this weekend and take some better pictures. Here's a quick peek

Straight up OEM GT4 center caps - I've got some new ones on order, but I just "borrowed" the ones from the factory wheels as I couldn't wait

How much does the quickjack weigh?
I don't have a lot of room left in the garage, is it possible to store it under the center of the car? Meaning can the car clear the height of the quickjack?

I would guess that each section of the QuickJack is about 100 lbs. Yes I think you can store these under the car, but the clearance will be about 0.75-1". They sell wall hangers to store the sections (which is what I do).

I think one solution might be to just store them under one of our SUVs and then just use that bay for doing work. I think I'll pick one up since Costco still has that deal. Did you get the 5000lbs or 7000lbs? I can't imagine needing any more than 5k but might be smart to get the larger one in case I ever want to work on my truck.

I picked up the 5000 lbs kit. I don't have anything that would exceed that weight, the system definitely didn't struggle at all picking up the GT4.

I'm ordering a set from Renndecals. Did your installer mention whether he had any issues to speak of? Everything go according to plan?

I had previously ordered from Costco and then returned when QuickJack had the same sale for their XL version which can lift longer vehicles which makes it more practical as the shorter version is known to not reach the jack points on longer vehicles. QuickJack also sells the wall hooks which work quite well. I did buy the tire storage rack at Costco to store my OEM wheels.

Fresh off the delivery truck!

First impressions are the clutch/steering are much lighter than my 981 GT4. Stock exhaust is very quiet, far less theatre out of the box. That will be getting remedied very soon. Car feels more solid somehow, the suspension more refined. Bose system is much better than the 981 system. I couldn't figure out how to setup carplay? Just connected via USB for now.

What exhausts to people like? Thinking the Klein SS setup sounds great from the videos.

Yes, I agree. The car feels very, very solid. I have a Spyder, and it is hard to quantify this exact feeling. And at the same time, the ride not not "harsh" in my opinion. Everything simply feels extremely solid and well built. I guess after making these cars for so long (along with many of the parts which are still the same), Porsche and their suppliers have really nailed everything down.

Congrats, but let's not turn this thread into yet another exhaust thread please! There are countless exhaust threads in the forum so please search on those and do some reading...lots of choices and since sound is subjective you are best to try and listen to some locals cars or online sound clips.
