No one company seems to master all product areas, so you kind of have to mix and match...plus experiment often. Needless to say, I do a lot of experimenting!

Nice to see another Alfisti on the forum. I have a Giulia QV and love it. I’ve also really enjoyed the time I’ve spent in Stelvio QVs. Hugely underrated/overlooked cars IMO.

I used the single suction cup mount that I came with. I thought of installing a blendmount but tried out this set up first and kept with it. I don't drive my car at night. But when I pulled into my garage at night, I noticed how it and the sport chrono clock reflect on the windshield.

I went from a first gen V1 to the R8. The V1 was still great at sniffing out KA band on the highway. But it was miserably noisy with flase negatives. The R8 filters well and the auto mute works well. The range is incredible and I like pairing it with Waze. I'm sure the R7 is more than the enough if it's 80-90% of the R8's range considering how far away it captures certain bands like KA...

Uniden offers a new, round windshield mount that is VERY strong. I bought a 3M stick on mount to use on my new R7, which is what I used on my R3 in the same location, but the suction mount is so good I have not needed the 3M one yet. Here's a few pics of the view...

Does the R8 come with the cable to hardwire or was that something extra you purchased?

Anyone use these? Do they look good? Are they easily removable?

If they're anything like Porsche OEM or DB Carbon products, then they will look good and easily removable except for the door, as that is more of a stick on.

Edit: It appears they're stick-ons, so it will be harder to remove depending on how sticky the 3M adhesives are.

Shoutout to @simaservis1108 for installing Android Auto on my Cayenne GTS and CGTS4.0. He was extremely patient with me (I'm tech inept) and accommodated my crazy work schedule for the past month. Highly recommend doing this!

From the description they appear to all be stick on. Won’t be easy to remove.

So what tools do I need to buy my soon to arrive 718 Cayman GTS 4.0? I have a short list of some of the tools I've had suggested in various threads/videos:

Schwaben Protecta Sockets - https://www.ecstuning.com/b-schwaben.../019532sch01a/
74mm oil filter wrench - already bought this one.
Protecta Socket Kit - https://www.ecstuning.com/b-schwaben...eces/pps-1721/
Porsche Lift Pucks - https://rennlist.com/forums/market/1178596 (already bought these)
Small torque wrench for oil filter housing. Suggestions?? Not Harbor Freight, or SnapOn, but something mid-range.
Wheel hanger tool - https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_In...hoCytUQAvD_BwE

Any other suggestions?

Thanks for your help!
Greg
