That color is what Chalk GT4s dream about when they sleep. Beautiful.

So there are two slate grey ! which I did not know . I have a list of paint to sample options when I considered ordering my 991.2 GTR3RS , but this was declined by Porsche at that time ..I guess I need to study the list some more
I am looking forward to see them parked next to each other at next C and C

Thank you. It’s my first (and possibly last) PTS, making it even more special to me!

Thanks! I would love to see your car and see them together. I’ve still not seen a Slate Grey 6601. That’ll be fun!

Congrats and it is gorgeous!
Thanks very much! I did the rear toe links, monoballs, track alignment, etc on my 981 GT4. Sadly I never got to drive it in stock form. Once we knew it was going to be a long recovery from the concussion, I opted to have all the mods done so it would be ready for me when I was finally ready to drive it. Normally I prefer to drive a car stock and get to know it before deciding on mods. I am not sure what is in store for this one. But I’ll post any plans. Right now the new seat inserts are anxiously awaited as I’m not crazy about the fabric Porsche is currently using. It’s okay but I preferred the prior generation of inserts.

The “build-in” understeer was well documented in the last car and I proactively decided to address it. My impression is that this version isn’t quite as bad out-of-the-box, but I’ll still probably tweak the suspension once I get some seat time. It’s a fun process that I’m thoroughly enjoying this time around!

Will do and thanks. What is most striking to me in the first 200 miles is how similar this PDK behaves to the 991RS we had. It’s vey different from the 992, the Macan, the Panamera (as it should be). This car sounds much more like the RS than the 981 GT4. The mechanical sounds are more evident in this car (so far). Obviously I’ve got to get a lot more seat time but those are initial impressions.

Thanks J. Yes, when I was talking to your son he asked about the transmission. I opted for PDK this time, and I would have had little reason to get the 718 version if not for the different transmission and of course the color. I loved the 981 transmission - it was my fave thing about that car. Shifting was a wonderful feeling. Very mechanical and notch-y. Almost like a gated gearbox without the gate. I don’t need a stick to enjoy and feel engaged and wanted to try something new. And then when I was able to get PTS - it sealed the deal.

There are actually three Slate Grey. One is metallic and only for 911. I don’t have the paint code as it was not on the PTS list at the time I ordered. Then there is the darker, more ‘charcoal” version 6601/615, and then the Y97/RAL7015 which is what I chose (more creamy, mid-tone grey). There were two Slate Gray metallic 911 at CnC today. I’ll be sure to point them out if they are there the next time I see you. By the way, Maritimeblau 5MB/38B was on the last list that I saw! One of my all time faves!

Very nice. Did you end up fitting the P1 inserts?

Beautiful, and like the little bit of yellow bling on the brakes.

Turnpike? Are you in PA?
