Thanks for posting this... A couple things that I noticed (nothing big, just should be noted).
Tail lights: They are just the standard 718 lights... Red LED Bar with silver 4 points. Renders show it inaccurately as all black with red bar. I prefer the render visual.
Side Intakes: Some renders show them as 2 bar and some show it as 1 bar as in the standard Spyder. Nothing is mentioned anywhere about this so I assume it is Single.
I liked the two bar as it nicely connects to the front bumper air curtains which also has two bars.

- Taillights are standard red LED bar with silver four points—small differentiator, particularly with the rest of the Spyder body treatment.
- I'll have to confirm this, but I would assume 1-bar is likely—as there may be a technical reason the 4.0-liter cars run it.

Tthere seems to be some confusion on the internet on which color code is ‘the darker’ Slate Grey and which is ‘the lighter’ one. And from pictures and videos it almost seems that Porsche has actually done more than two uni-paints Slate Grey through history - but I know how misleading pictures and videos can be in rendering colors.
The consensus though seems to be that Porsche has done two different uni-paints “Slate Grey” (and one metallic Slate Grey) through its history, and that between the two uni-paints Y97 / RAL7015 is lighter and and 615 / 6601 is darker.
There is actually more difference between these two colors than just being lighter or darker. While the lighter Y97 is often described as “battleship-like”, the darker 6601 has a green tone iwhich especially comes out in direct sunlight, and shows as more blueish in cool light.
I fully agree both subjectively and objectively (to the extend that exists) with @stout that the darker Slate Grey is a nicer match with Ascot Brown leather. The Ascot Brown leather is a very warm color, and the darker Slate Grey is a warmer color than the lighter Slate Grey. When matching the warm Ascot Brown with a cooler color, then it probably works better to go all the way and contrast it with a true cool color.
I think (and hope )that the Ascot Brown leather with 6601 Slate Grey will be a really beautiful combination.

Can I add one more option possibility: Porsche does not offer this from factory, but looks cool as hell. Black Spyder logo on the decklid winglets. Had that done custom and looks great. Chrome/silver looked terrible as the exterior had nothing in the same color. Now all looks in coherence with black Porsche logo, black Spyder logo on the rear bumper and black Spyder logos on the winglets.

I’ll stay with chrome, but would love to see some pictures of your black version!

Well done Stout, this is a beautiful spec that complements the Spyder ascetic perfectly. The Spyder is such a timeless shape, and the exterior colours plus the brown leather interior really add to the feeling this car will age gracefully and look special well into the future. I’ve had a deposit with my dealer in New Zealand for 6 months now and we are struggling to get a factory allocation - but if I secure one, I’ll be considering another stretch financially to make this happen. Thanks for bringing such a machine into the world! Trust it was a fun and rewarding experience for you.
