Texted my SA, nothing official from Porsche Corporate but I've already stated I would be disscussing an allocation. I see him on Saturday.

Who even thinks like this?

May have been me, that’s what I did. All-in, it’s ~$23K to de-Alcantara a Spyder.

Worth mentioning, you can do a ton of customization for that same price.

It shouldn’t be that much. I built essentially the same car for just shy of $40k with the custom paint.

The only thing that may make this more is if they’re charging a ‘leather to sample’ fee as Ascot isn’t a 718 leather color. I doubt it with the 000 package, but that would typically carry a cost.[/size]

Pete said no discount... So yes, Ascot will be an up charge.

Your $40k was total price over base or was that just Interior color and Custom Color? 000 also includes:

Engraved Key
Black Steering Wheel Spokes
Two Bar Side Intakes
Red Element LED tails
Custom Illuminated Sills
LED Headlamps
Black Calipers

I still stand by my 30-40k price estimate minus custom paint.

I have a feeling that Porsche could release 10 more “special” versions of any of their cars and no matter what they looked like people would gush over them and get in line to buy one just for the opportunity to have a limited-run car.

And here we wondered if we were the only ones who wanted to "de-Alcantara" the interior, and figured we couldn't be. For us, the question became, "If you go that far, is it worth doing a special leather?" Alex and I tend toward black interiors but occasionally like other colors, and Ascot just seemed like another connection to the CGT worth making.

Yes, there's an uncharge for Ascot, which isn't just a special color but also a higher grain (as is obvious in the GT2 RS pics in this thread). It's a different experience from Porsche's other interiors, which I am sure the color and trim dept was after for the Carrera GT back in 2003~. At one point, however, our concern about its added cost prompted a question from Exclusive: "Do you guys want to do Espresso, a regular 718 leather?" Having ordered an Oak Green on Espresso car a few years ago, I know it's gorgeous—and Alex ordered a silver 987.2 Spyder with Cocoa leather and still has it, so he's a fan of dark brown in the right circumstances as well. But both of us felt this project would have been less special without the Ascot.

As anyone who has really played with CXX knows, and I now know from direct experience, part of the trick is knowing when to stop and when not to. The delta between your ideal setup and the compromise (with its knock-on effects…) is the real consideration. So in your accounting, don't forget the black brushed aluminum trims on the doors. It sounds like a silly detail, and it is. But Exclusive didn't stock those, so we worked with them to find a solution. As Larry noted, some of the items in the package can be duplicated at a parts counter, and as a lifelong hot-rodder that's my usual MO. But a car that's 100% factory has a great deal of value for some, and the goal of this project was to create a package that a customer doesn't have to navigate or roll the dice on. Pick an exterior color, add a few options you have to have, and go. We would've been thrilled to see a few of these cars out there in the world. And now it looks like there will be, as the first confirmed allocation is already in process.

Do you believe it will be available in Europe? If yes, when? Thanks!
I asked my Porsche dealership director and he didn’t hear of it.

Default Too soon for me...

This is a very cool concept, but as I am only a little past break-in it is far too soon for an upgrade! 😇

It is available worldwide. Rest of World dealerships can reach out to Exclusive in Zuffenhausen, which can share more information for individual markets.

The estimated price for the US market is in: With a base MSRP of $98,300 USD ($99,650 w/mandatory fees), minimum required configurator options ($8,490), and CXX options, the car will begin around $143,380 in GT Silver Metallic.

Pete, can you specify which standard options are mandatory.
Playing around with the configurator and it would be nice to know which ones are included.

The want is strong, and that also goes for the better halves in the Stout and Palevsky households. Trick is, Alex's 987.2 Spyder is a keeper, and my Brewster Green 991 would have to go in our case.

Did I mention the want is strong?

I have:
LED headlamps
Smokers Package
18 ways or Buckets
Black Calipers

anything else?
Here you go…

PTS should delete the price of GT Silver Metallic, while carbon buckets would be a smaller jump from the 18-way seats than they are from 2-way seats (which I guess could be commissioned for CXX evaluation; we decided to skip that process to avoid slowing the project down). I go back and forth on color, but I'd have to have the buckets.
