I just received a call from the other dealer that I left a deposit in September and they also have an allocation with delivery June. Not sure what's happening - Porsche must be producing more of the GTS or people are backing out.

There's non carbon heated multi function steering wheel option if you don't want the carbon.

Thanks for the feedback. Here is my new config based on your recommendations.

https://configurator.porsche.com/porsche-code/PRFKJCN5

I assume the heated carbon steering is less desirable because of the lesser grip ?

There is still good drip on the carbon fiber component of the steering wheel. I had one in my Macan, it was plenty grippy for me.

Took redelivery today after December European Delivery.

Buying out of state meant I had a nice 4 hour drive back home. Only 300 more miles until it’s broken in!

Such a beautiful color! Congrats on your second delivery! I specced my car in Shark Blue as well, though I went with silver wheels.

Question about your trip back, as I will be doing the same from PEC Atlanta. Did you vary your RPM and speed while driving on the highway or do anything else special? Or did you just hop on the highway and drive back like any normal?

Cheers,
PB

I had silver wheels (snow tires) in Europe which was fun to really see the difference between them. Yours will look great.

I tried to vary RPMs with some downshifts here and there, but I wasn’t obsessive about it. I mostly just avoided cruise control. I’d be curious how long is “too long” at a given RPM during the break in phase.

That's good to know, thank you for sharing. I'd be curious to know that as well. It seems like everyone has their opinions on proper break-in so I'm sure someone will chime in.

Best,
PB

I am debating between Aventurine Green and Silver.
The Aventurine Green looks like Agate Grey depending on sunlight.
Are you sure you can select Aventurine Green Metallic? It was rumored to go away Dec 1st but I do see it's still listed as a color choice. Has your dealer said you can get it?

By brown I take it you mean the natural leather option in Espresso? I was able to get the Espresso/Cognac combination. My car finished production November 24th and I'm still waiting on it...
