Got rest of pics, it's complete! Not the biggest thing in world but it's cool that it's on Michelins.
It's definitely all about the RED on this one, can't wait!

The shipping schedules and wait times are very strange. I’m sure the logistics are complicated depending on the timing, destination port, build, etc. It’s odd that people wait months vs days to get on a boat.

Welp, looks like I just literally missed the boat. Was supposed to arrive later April and now it's saying end of May, even after sitting at Emden for 2 weeks. I'm just here to vent - congrats to those who got on the ship!
Also that red GT4 looks HOT

Only reason I can think of is that the GT4 RS has carbon fenders and hood, and they must be painted and installed somewhere else. Well, fenders at least since the hood isn’t painted w/ WP. But since the fenders are still painted, not sure why they wouldn’t be there at this stage.

Well that's a total surprise, was supposed to be next Wed or Thurs, awesome news. Since the dealership isn't the one I'm buying it from I'm gonna see if I can fast track paperwork tomorrow & see if I can scoop it Sat, would be epic..

OK, my GT4 entered production yesterday, 9 days late. Right now date at dealer still shows May 24, only 6 days later than it showed at freeze point.
But from what I'm seeing with shipping dates, not holding my breath for May, in fact would seem unlikely unless I just get lucky. Still, it finally seems real, pretty pumped now!

Not that it's a huge deal - but someone mentioned previously that the map in TYD is the most accurate to track the progress of the car once it's on a ship.
This is not true.
The map in TDY is a generic representation if the voyage, it's not actually tracking the boat because I've been tracking the boat on a separate app and it's going an entirely different route that is depicted on TYD. TYD also is not showing which boat the car's been loaded on.
It's a small detail - and it's not even really all that important - but meh - we're here to obsess
Also - TYD is showing the car arriving at port on the 24th yet it's actually scheduled to arrive on the 20th. They certainly build in some buffer.

Still cool they do it... but it's a little weird to have it but not have it accurate.

I think it would be way too much effort and cost to try and integrate the app with a reliable marine tracking system. As I remember though, TYD used to indicate which ship the car was loaded on - now it doesn't do that.
Either way I agree that it's a nice touch and they are doing their best. The goal of TYD is actually to build ANTICIPATION for the customer. I received a survey last week rating TYD and most questions were related to the anticipation I felt the app was building and it making it feel like more of an inclusive process. I think it does a pretty good job of that and most customers are probably not as geeked out as all of us here wanting to know every detail of where the car is and why it's delayed by a day etc etc... LOL... So for most people they probably think the map is accurate - and ignorance is bliss isn't it?
