Took delivery in Zuffenhausen on 12/8. It was a sad moment to have to give the car back two weeks later! Now I wait a few months for a boat.
I thought my vehicle might have PDLS+ despite not being able to order it because it was listed somewhere in the My Porsche app, but it doesn’t. I saw others discussing this possibility a few pages back so figured I’d add a data point.
We immediately drove to the French Riviera to get out of the gloomy German weather.

Glovis Crystal seems to be parked in the Bay waiting to dock at Benecia. Almost there. I hope from unloading at Benecia to dealer which is less than like 50 miles away doesn’t take too long.

There’s a CPO BGTS manual at Sunset Porsche Oregon with 4k miles for 104k in white if anyone is looking. My CGTS manual arrives in a few days. I am toying with the idea of a swap lol.
So the 718 production is extended at least until mid 2024? My dealer told me that the 718 will be discontinued in April-May 24, but maybe it's just his strategy to get me to order the car asap

Porsche have publicly said outside of Europe where regulations are going to prevent sales of current 718 model, it will continue to be produced/sold concurrently even with the next gen electric platform.
Rumors are strong that the 718 will need to continue longer , especially as we have seen Ford and others bump up production of hybrids and ICE vehicles as there is a lull in EV sales, often due to areas of the US that are still woefully behind on charging stations. I have a hard time believing Porsche can stop making one money maker too early, when it needs the funds to build some of their future products.
