I wish I had more choices when it comes to the interior, but that's ok. I went with black/red stitching/black brushed aluminum. I like the color scheme you chose, they look awesome on the Spyder but it's an expensive CXX on that one.
We must be close. We’re in Naperville.

Understood about the kids. Savor every moment.

We don’t get to Blackhawk, autobahn, or Gingerman (my personal fav) much these days, but you might have seen us at Road America. We’ve done 7-10 days there every year since 1987. This might look familiar

Just got an update from our SA. We don’t arrive in Baltimore until 11/11, so we’re likely on Siem Aristotle which doesn’t arrive in Emden until 10/25. Dealer ETA 11/18. Oh well.

Well, just a week apart. It changes all the time. I was on that boat until past Wednesday.
I recall your car there. I used to drive a silver 991 with a red top. My wife and I shared the car on track. When the kids were younger we used to all go in one car, plus two small dogs. Quite peculiar scene...

Love to see (hear) about wives sharing the car. We had a guards red ‘91, 911C2, that we traded for the Cayman. We’d pack everything in it for 3 days. We’d fill up in the morning, each run two sessions, fill up at lunch, and run 4 more sessions in the afternoon, and fill up to be able to make it to dinner. We’d drive home on a sliver of brake pad and the backing plates. My wife even got her club racing license after 350 track days and we’d share the car during enduros. Makes it easy to justify news tires.

BTW, where did you see which boat you were on? The best I can do is try to match schedules.

The new schedule is a 3 week slip from TDY.

based on the predicted shipping date, it should be the violet ace. It could be there’s no room, then it would be the same as yours. The delivery day swapped between nov/4 and 11 a couple of times.
no pictures yet, the app is still on 2/4, TYD shows it at the port.

My delivery on TYD just slipped from 10/28 to 11/18. Seems consistent with what is posted above since my car is headed to Baltimore port. The wait continues!

My TYD just updated to match what my SA shared.

And pictures are still missing. Glad I downloaded them earlier.

Well poop, i got hit with a 2 week delay. Estimated delivery is now showing 12/09 when it used to be 11/18. Was hoping this wasnt the case more so due to a rumor i've heard about interest rates going up even more in November so i was hoping to avoid it. oh well...just when it seemed so close...

Contact or join a credit union and complete your auto loan application now. Most of them, once approved, with guarantee a rate lock for 60 days. This will likely protect you from the BIG BAD FED rate hikes for a short while, and hopefully until your car is delivered.

Boat is moored in Houston as of last night. Now it's the race to see how fast they can get it offloaded, port processed, and 18 miles from port to my dealer.

Exactly where I'm at too, but my car has been at port since early Saturday morning. It took until yesterday morning for TYD to update. 16 miles to the dealer in my case!

However, I totally forgot that I was getting PPF done through the dealer (through not by the dealer... they're subletting to a local shop and I've seen their work so should be ok)... so even if it's ready this week I likely won't be able to drive it. Hopefully see it. I'm already setting my sights on early-mid next week and that's assuming no hiccups at the port or Bose chip f*ckery.

I keep forgetting these little nuances. At this point I JUST WANT THE ****ING CAR lol.

It seems like everyone that hasn't left Emden is taking a new 2-3 week hit. Going to be very hard to get the break-in done before the snow flies in Chicago. This is probably going to cost me an extra week in TYD detox.

Ah yeah that definitely sucks. I'm in California so there's no such thing as winter here so I'll still be able to drive my car around even being right in the middle of December.
