Just checked and I’ve been upgraded to Port Processing in Jacksonville too, estimated completion date is still 9/2. But completed stages Entering Port Channel and Entry Port are also showing completion dates of 9/2. I’m watching paint dry on top of previous coats of paint that haven’t dried yet!

If only I could get my SA to return my calls.

if there’s a reasonable chance the SA can close the sale before the end of the month, then they will call. I had a call from my SA last Monday when he thought my car would be delivered to the dealer by 8/27. I don’t know how long it will take for my car to get from Jacksonville to Orlando, we’ll see if it gets there this week and he hustles to close before 8/31.

Well, my dealer finally updated me. My car is expected at the dealership on Monday, but they say it takes three to five days after it arrives at the dealer for them to get the title from Porsche Germany. Has anyone ever heard of that?

I would say they are blowing smoke. A little floor time with your car getting pawed over helps drive interest with new customers. I explicitly asked for no time with the public. YMMV

Id believe 3-5 days for PDI to happen depending on how backed up the shop is. The car should be saleable immediately after PDI. They’ll want to deliver before month end if possible but all depends on resources available.

Not that there was a huge worry for delays here but Porsche has received their EPA certification for MY2023 for 718 4.0s so that’s one less thing to worry about for inbound 2023s.

The part about it taking them 3-5 days to get the title from Porsche pushed my BS meter to redline. It may take them a couple-few days to get the car ready, but that title reason doesn’t sound right. I bet they are paying to floorplan the car from the day it hits their lot until the day it is sold.

Vehicle title is issued by the State DMV, this sounds like BS to me. Everything else are inside the car. They do need to bolt on the trim pieces, e.g. lower bumper splitter, fire extinguisher, remove the transport (forgot the actual term) mode, etc. Depending on how busy they are, this could take a few days.
