Yep! I am the original owner of a 99 Boxster, and I still drive it! This is my first car since (no joke), and I plan on driving this Spyder forever (that is how I justify the ADM). For you, a $7.5K ADM is about right in this market. I see dealers still trying to get $10k ADM for GTS cars.
Was quoted $30k ADM twice today for Spyder's expected to arrive early September/ late October. Guess I haven't found the righr dealer yet.

Well, after many months, I should be out of here tomorrow. The three hour drive to the dealer in the morning to pick up my 2022 Chalk BGTS. Only surprise so far is the "required" paint protection package but I guess that's a small price to pay for a 'no admin' deal. I'm just going to apply my $500 steering wheel credit towards it. I'll be covering the front areas with Track Tape for the ride home. Goes in Monday for Suntek Reaction, full frontal and extended rocker.
Oh, and I'm calling her "Vixen"

In all that time, I probably reached out to my SA for updates 4 times, politely, so I am not a problem customer.
Can only assume it is because I am female so they don’t take me seriously or because I am able to pay cash — you would think that would make me a customer you would want to keep and up-sell to a GT4RS or GT3 (could have been persuaded-I do like to drive) … smh

By contrast, my dealer is ghosting me. My car arrived at Davisville, RI — 47 miles from my dealer — last Saturday, cleared port processing by Tuesday, and it’s still sitting there. The SA has not returned emails, texts, or calls for two days now (despite having told me Monday that the car would likely be there by Wednesday) and when I left a message for the SM this morning, he also didn’t return my call. I put down my deposit on this car — PTS CGTS4.0 — more than a year ago and got my allocation last November. I have waited — patiently— long enough!

Eff that.
I'd call Porsche USA and log a complaint. Brutal!

Wow that really stinks, hope you hear from them and you get your car soon!

Yes, I would expect an exorbitant ADM for being able to jump the line that far ahead, especially if that October one is still unlocked... I would guess that's unlikely (clearly the one arriving in a couple weeks has already been built), but that's about what the markup is for cars available immediately, and people are paying it.
$30k is on the high side but if you're expecting to find one close to MSRP, you may be perpetually looking. That's just where we're at with these cars today, and they're going to stop making them soon.
