Likely could’ve paid less ADM if I waited longer or looked out of market but an opportunity presented itself and I decided to move forward. I hate ADM however I plan to keep the car for a long time, as I do with all of my cars (2009 135i with 183k miles is still going strong), so the cost amortizes itself over an extended period of time. At least that’s the rationale that helps me sleep at night…
The Cayman GTS is honestly a better drivers car right now. The modern 911s have gotten more GT like which is not a bad thing but just not what I am looking for. I have a GTS on the way which will be my daily driver/canyon/mountain car. I am also on the list for a GT3 at my local dealer which will be a dedicated track car IF I ever end up getting an allocation.

I love the 992, amazing piece of engineering. But I agree, the GTS is more of a drivers car which is one of the reasons I pivoted. I like your plan with the GT3, wish I could pull that off.

you won’t believe me but……. I’m contacted all 30 California dealers and got the allocation in a week. Blind luck. Got it in July.

Welp. Doing it again!
After taking delivery of my GT4, I decided to sell my Targa and get in line for a BGTS. I don't hit my freeze point until the end of September. Going with Yellow over Agate Gray interior. Promised both myself and my wife that I wouldn't drive myself crazy this time.
Heads up: just the other day, I was advised that Porsche was no longer offering the PDLS+ system on 718s. Chip shortage or something. Also impacting Bose, but I'd already opted for Burmeister.
Enjoy the wait, everyone!

So I’m about 45-60ish days out. Curious what you folks are seeing for financing rates right now and with who. Any national banks or CUs have any decent rates?

Spare me the “always pay cash” please.

Heard from my sales advisor today, my GT4 is expected to arrive at the dealership in FL before the end of the month, will discuss paperwork with him this week! Best I can see online for the SFL Composer is that it arrives at Port of Baltimore on 8/22. TYD still has it arriving at Port of Jacksonville on 9/2 and arrival at dealership on 9/9! Woohoo!

Just so you know, there might be a delay in Baltimore. The Siem Confucius waited two days for a spot at the dock, it just moored this morning around 4am. Near as I can tell, it can take 1-2 days to unload. Not sure if another ship is scheduled in between.

Good to know. Thanks! I was a bit surprised when my SA said the car may be in by the end of the month. Anything ahead of TYD’s estimated 9/9 delivery will be a bonus for me! Then it will just be a matter of getting a shipper right away and it will be PPF and engine break-in time.
