There was a fire at the port in Benecia. Hopefully, it won't affect logistics for Porsche.

The “Phase” on TYD is important because you won’t get your pictures until is says “Phase 3/4” like this (usually about a week after actual production):




Once that happens you can hit “discover current phase” and hopefully you see the finished photo here:




Then you can scroll down to “Body Shop” and “Assembly” and their stock photos will have been replaced by actual photos of your car:

 

Of course I am NOT sure of anything. But TYD still shows an onboard vessel date of April 15th with a date of delivery to San Diego dealer of May 27th.

I would love to find out that TYD is way behind and I actually got on one of the THREE boats that left Emden for the US west coast AFTER my car arrived in port in Emden. Especially after seeing other west coast guys boast about their cars being on the water already when they arrived in Emden AFTER I did.

My Gt4 just made it to my dealer, I'm from Montreal and my car was on Siem Aristotle vessel if that helps anybody

 

Yeah, I saw that. The dock that was destroyed is primarily used for auto imports, but it's unclear if it's the one used by VAG/Porsche. The good news is that today my production date moved in by a week--now 4/22. It has moved out so often, I was pleasantly suprised. I'll continue pacing the waiting room until I know it's built, though.

 

Is there any point in getting on a waitlist now? I asked my local dealer and they said they don't know if Porsche is going to make anymore after 2022.

 

Mine is scheduled to start production on 4/15, so we'll likely be shipmates! I really hope the port fire doesn't delay things any further.

My CGTS 4.0 went into production 4/4 and entered CP8.0 today and is currently in transit to Emden. Scheduled to get on a ship 4/22 and be delivered 5/27 to Tampa
