I hope to be on the Siem Cicero. I am currently sitting in Emden waiting for the next ship. TYD shows me on vessel on 4/22. Siem Cicero scheduled to be in port 4/21.

Actually showing a one week pull in for delivery on 5/27. Can't quite believe it is actually getting real. :-)

I might just make the PCA Delivery experience at COTA on 6/8. I will have just enough time for PPF and a good number of break in miles before pushing her on the track.

Have a blessed day
Ironic that people with vehicles in production can't get clarity about what is happening at the factory NOW, and yet your attitude is drawn into question for doubting people in dealerships who reportedly can predict the future production plans for upcoming model years, relative build quantities, and model by model demand......

My dealership got a new cleaning lady, and she says we should rename this subforum,
"718 version of the GT4RS, GTS 4.0, GT4, Spyder, 25th Anniversary Boxter, & Spyder RS."

Plus she's got a written waiting list in her apron and a bunch of deposits with Ferdinand written on the envelope.

@Super Stroby she’s still plodding along around 15 knots… looks like she’s over halfway for the major crossing, still reporting an ETA to Columbia of 4/19.

On another note… I have a buddy that is currently sailing around the western side of the canal. He sent me some video of the cargo ships in the area yesterday (attached). He’s headed for Polynesia sometime in the next several weeks, but if Glovis Supreme gets through before he leaves he might be able to get us some photos or videos

Thanks for the update. It's scary how close your friends voice and mine sound alike, its the first time I've heard a voice that close. Hopefully there isn't much of a wait for it to get through the canal. It would also be nuts to get an at sea picture of the ship with the car on it. That ones going in the ol' cars scrap book for sure.

Siem Confucius is east coast bound, so probably not for us. I found this in the 992 GT3 forum. It looks like Lyra Leader could be the next west coast bound ship and it'll hit Emden on the 14th.

I also found this site, so we should at least be able to catch a glimpse of it going through the canal:
Panama Canal Web Cams

The irony is not lost on me yet knowledge about the product pipeline and delays on the factory floor are independent of each other. And, yes, your cleaning lady has good intel re: Spyder RS

Just pick up my new car at Leipzig. During the factory tour, they mentioned that they are running at full capacity, 3 shifts. That the wiring harness are still made in Ukrain!

And no, nobody would comment on a Spyder RS 😝

Somebody kindly asked you how you knew this information, and you are acting like you have strict orders from MI6 not to share. While I hope your data is correct (and it very well could be), I assume is not from a credible source, and if it is valid, it will just be a coincidence.

Beautiful car! I'm peanut butter and jealous that you get to do a European Delivery. I'm not sure if its in your plans but one box I would check off is a lap around the ring even if you drive it at a leisurely pace. I would easily have 5000 miles on the car visiting tracks and would have to pay for extra insurance time. Enjoy the next few weeks living the dream!

@Super Stroby A lap around the ring would be a dream come true. You are absolutely spot on about that. I hope one day I can do that as well.

@Borg1of5 I love the black! Post some more photos of that bad boy in the black picture thread!

After proper break-in, Spa Francorchamps and Nurburgring. I managed to fit my helmet in my small luggage that should fit my Spyder 😬

My man!!! Post pictures when you have them. One question if I may. Was there there anything they went over that you weren't allowed to do to the car? The pie in the sky idea for me was to always PPF it, drive over to Manthey Racing, put their package on it before heading to all of the tracks I could fit into my schedule. However I was wondering to myself if they didn't allow you to modify the car because maybe it wouldn't make it through the import process in the US.

Exactly, nothing can be done to the car, it has to be return exactly has picked up! I was considering some Track Wrap to protect the car, but after reading horror stories from people leaving it on for too long, glue residue, clear coming off, I will just have to be careful. Porsche will remove anything that doesn’t belong at your expense.
