I got my VIN via the app (My Porsche in Canada) on the day it went into production according to the info I got afterwards from my SA. The dealership tracking tool says the car is complete and in Emden, yet the app is still stuck at "scheduled for production". I called Porsche NA and they said there's "an outage that's preventing updates to the App - check back on Monday". My car's already been complete for more than a week and should be loading on Siem Confucius in the next day or two.

I am hoping since my vin was available last week that my car is in production already and hopefully TYD will update on Monday

My dealer is particularly unhelpful about TYD. I emailed Porsche hopefully they can set me up.

I’m in Canada too and for me it worked well through Stages 1 to 3, however mine got “stuck” on stage 3 and even though I took delivery of my car in August, the portal still says it’s “on the way”. Your SA will have more accurate information available through the PSVM (Porsche Sales and Vehicle Management). He could even tell me which train my car was on. Feel free to bug him for screen shots.

Still only shows my car at Stage 3 as of today. Delivered in August

Wow, configured my next Porsche 718 GTS 4.0 online and got a call from our local Porsche dealer. 10 people in front of me with an allocation of around 5 GTS per year, meaning a 1-2 year wait..... oh well, who knows if the 4.0 engine will still be available in 2023/24....might be all electric by then....and need to look pre-owned...

It’s worthwhile checking in with multiple dealers if you really want one, especially if you have a desirable trade.

Get on more lists. There will be cancellations. I just got an allocation without being "officially" on a wait list of that particular dealer (just left my phone number 2 months ago). I am also with 2 more dealers on 2nd and 3rd spot since September. Another two dealers on 3rd spot since December. All MSRP and in Northeast.

Need to cancel all those since I just got my build sheet confirming V200 status.

I think 4.0 engine has another 4 years if no longer. Isn't the engine EU emission compliant through 2025? So that's the minimum. And Porsche would be crazy to cancel ICE 718 even if they introduce the EV contraption. Even after 2025 I imagine they should be able to sell them outside EU, including Murica.

I even mulled postponing buying the 718 given the crazy market (at least I am paying MSRP) as I don't believe the deadline to buy one is imminent, but I guess whatever discounts will to be had, will be outdone by likely MSRP increase.

The question is, if they keep 718 longer, will they facelift it? (983?). And introduce garbage like fully digital gauge cluster, electronic PDK gear shift or some other nonsense. I don't want any of that.

Preach on. I literally know no one who's said they wanted a digital dash over an analog one. It's like being given the choice between a nice analog Rolex and a digital Casio, and paying extra for the Casio.

Updated my build this morning and now my SA sends me a build sheet which went from V200 status to V100 with Feasibility Check Failed.

He says it’s not my build or availability of supplies and claims they received an email from Porsche this morning regarding technical issues with their internal PVMS software. Trying not to worry but it’s hard not to.

Anyone else get any strange updates from their SA’s today?
