Whoot. I just received an email from PNA " Welcome to Porsche – Track Your Dream!" V200 My sales guy is off today so this came as a surprise.

More than excited. Put down my deposit for an allocation on September 21,2021. Now the real wait begins. I can't believe how excited I am. Wow....

Great topic for bonding! Hit the track together, and your future is assured!

He is in Canada and I'm in NC so hitting the track together will be hard. At least he has good taste in cars.

Well, you know one thing: If Porsche didn't want you to track the car they wouldn't have reached out and said, "Track Your Dream"!
That was my take-away when I got that message. Figured the app provides links to this season's DEs.
It may be for the better, because you'd have to sandbag to let your boss win.....

Your SA should have told you if you change your configuration it would likely change your production date and delivery date. Even something as simple as seat belts. My SA said "DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING EVEN THOUGH TECHNICALLY YOU CAN....IT WILL DELAY YOUR CAR..."! Understand he has been at the same dealership 25 years. He knows what to do and what not to do....the day we sat down and finalized my order and submitted it to Porsche, he said be sure these are the options you want - you do NOT want to change this after today...it will delay your car!

I guess it's too late now...too bad....none of us want our car delayed for any reason we had control over.

I was told something similar when I ordered. I think Porsche should move the lock date way up to prevent these issues. Like after your order is placed you have two weeks to change it, then maybe their "just in time" supply chain wouldn't be affected.

Yeah, the whole existence of a Freeze Date way out in the future implies you can change your order before that safely.

And you and I know differently... first-hand unfortunately.
Given the "Yin" of the process for the two of us we can expect the "Yang" of the delivery and ownership to be better still!

I had the same experience. My build was supposed to occur the last week of July, and my changes pushed it back until after the August hiatus. That changed my delivery to October, so I missed some great top-down weather. Oh well.

Having finally received an allocation from somebody who dropped out I am now going to make some major changes to the order to meet my desired build. Current estimate for delivery is 84 days.

Will report back on any changes to timing once the new build is entered today.

I loaded my build at freeze point and it showed up 2 weeks early.

Get what you want and don’t worry about it.

Latest from TYD: 155 days until delivery.

My freeze date had been Feb 1. I wonder if my dates would have held had I not tweaked my config.

FWIW, my SA is saying that my GT4 just got bumped up a month (after a new 8-week delay) and is now expected mid-March. TYD shows no change yet.

My freeze date is in a couple weeks and I still have not received a TYD email yet. I have called PCNA a couple of times as well as asked my SA. He informed me that they will automatically be sent out when you get within a certain time of your production date and I know im close enough at this point. I've confirmed with PCNA that my email is correct. Not sure why I still have not gotten anything for TYD yet
