Yes. It even says something to that effect on the site.

I'd be a little irritated if this is what they're building me:

Thankfully I have a 981 Spyder to help pass the time but I probably need to log off this site for a few months.

Hey Mousejunior,

I'm wondering when you put in your order, I placed my order at DP here in Toronto, on Oct 31 2021 and I haven't received an allocation yet, so since you also seem to be in the T., I was just wanting to know how long you had to wait, if at all?

Thanks!

It's clear they often build the car on the line with default parts and then come back and swap them out for the special order parts later. On your production line timeline you'll normally see a day for the options change-out at the end of the production run. That's the V280 "CT" step you'll see sometimes - which stands for Custom Tailoring.

Thanks for the info! My SA has never shared any of that official timeline info with me so I guess I'll just assume that the CT step happened for my car... I've just been tracking it myself on TYD, which I know can be accurate at times. I wasn't even sure if it had actually been built yet since I keep seeing people posting about long delays popping up recently. I think I can confidently believe it has been built now though because I got an email about it from Porsche and the website also gives me a VIN number!

Well after reading a few mentioning recent delays, I was shocked to wake up to my Stage 2 into production email this morning from Porsche. The only change to my dates was the Vehicle Fixed moving one week later compared to my original dates. However, everything else still matches up and hopefully this is a good sign towards mid April delivery although I guess lots could still change.

When I got my notice that made my day. The problem is the next notice isn't until your car is built! That's why I bug my sales guy for the V-codes.

Your SA looks at a report like the one shown by Amochosto in post 3380 just above. Most SA's will print those out or screenshot them for you if you ask.
