So true here, wow! I can't believe how badly I want that hood now.

Funny I went the opposite. I was planning on non WP until I saw the WP and all the carbon fiber in person. I think the carbon looks better in person than photos. I will say it was more of the intakes and the spoiler and the engine cover that really pushed me over. But both options are great for sure

If I was to buy an RS (which I would have loved to if there was a MT option), I simply would not select Weissach Pack not because of the cost but simply because I really hate the CF hood. Porsche should at least offer a $0 option to paint the hood for standard colors. Other CF parts look wonderful, like side intakes and all, on the Weissach Package.

Dude this looks insane. I thought I would go NO WP and gold wheels, but these silver wheels are facking epic. I do think no WP looks so much better and also love how it's the more enthusiast spec imo, no cars and coffee bragging. And 13k for aesthetics is very anti-enthusiast, not to mention a raging ripoff.

This picture might be why I turn my back on a manual and get one of these. I mean even forego the LED's, these headlights look real good in this configuration. The only question for me would be silver, Satin platinum or satin aurum...

I myself got satin aurum right now...

The CF exposed hood was the reason why i chose to spec it with out the weissach package.

Some photo at the dealer.

Gorgeous! I'd repaint the calipers black and that's it, perfecto!

Im also a bigger fan of silver wheels. Seems like good ol’ bright silver wheels are not as common on GT cars these days, but to my eyes always look the best.

This one has matching decals inspired by the GT3RS, and silver accents.

What's the issue though? They provide both options, and some prefer one over the other. I think it's great Porsche provide so many options, can't think of many other manufacturers that do.

I think we need to get into your reverse psyche!!!!

I looked into adding a CFRP hood on my Shark Blue Spyder. WHen you get right down to it, shark Blue is a really good color and selecting carbon fiber just takes up real estate that would normally occupied by shark blue. I mean, if you're gonna pay for it, let it ride!!!

I went with the exposed CF hood/WP on my Shark Blue GT4RS.

I think it looks perfectly fine. I just have a Spyder so the hood is a large portion of color….since the top is gone and black when up. I do think the CF looks better on lighter colors that need the contrast.

Well, you can't technically 'choose' as you wish. If you choose no WP, then you don't get any of the other CF parts. And if you choose WP, you're stuck with the exposed CF hood. You can't go CXX and have it painted fully. Even the stupid painted stripe is said to be around $7-9k or some stupid money.

Shark Blue is a beautiful color, no arguments there. The car already has plenty of pieces displaying it means business. With NACA ducts on the hood, the fender vents, and swan neck wing out back the car already looks menacing and has plenty of road presence. While I support the use of exotic materials to reduce weight, I have never been a fan of the exposed CF hood on any car, including on GT3 RS and GT2 RS. There's no need for additional exposed CF hood to shout 'look at me'. It's a bit too C&C for me... I strongly believe painted hood should be a $0 option with Weissach Pack.
