Lap would have been a little faster, but I had to lift at 9 because I couldn't tell if I was going to get a point by or not. Was running Falken RT660 and they were fantastic. This was actually the last lap of Happy hour, so they hold up well over a session. Was running 265/305, the lovetoturn wing hack, BC Fabs headers and cats with stock muffler, and M-engineering tune. It could hold it's own on the straight with corvettes, ZL1 1LE, GT3, GT3RS, but the new Turbo S was just a blur. That thing is a rocket. I hit a top speed of 153.4 with my windows down, so not too shabby.

Outstanding for your first visit to RA. Your car has some serious grunt, judging by the way you blew past me on the back straight. I didn’t set any records, but I was at least able to get back out on track after my suspension issues.

And the clubsport camber plates and 5mm spacer is all you needed in the front to make the tires fit? Do you have any springs? I have swift springs, so it has lowered my car a bit. And do you have link as to what this clubsport camber plate is exactly?

Thank you, and it was a pleasure to meet you. Glad you were able to get back out there. Can't wait until next time.

The spacers were only on the back. No spacers on the front. The front camber plates were from BGB.

No springs and its at stock ride height.

GT4_trip

It is a PDK and no I do not have any data. As I said before and others have agreed, with the extra downforce the rear feels noticeably more planted. This will give one more confidence in high speed cornering and thus lead to slightly lower lap times. Exactly how much, I can't really speculate. Would depend on the type of track you were on as well.

hey Lovetoturn,

I agree that the wing mod adds confidence, rear grip and will likely result in faster times. I asked for data as a general learning tool from faster drivers around the track. Not so much for wing mod validation or quantification of the benefit. Sorry if they was t clear in my response earlier.

thanks

That's moving.

The M2CSR is ~3500lbs/365hp, so you should be gaining on him in the straights, it's the extra lateral grip in the corners from the slicks. I race an M2CSR in SRO - best I've done at Road Atl on street tires (we had just finished break in) was ~1:36 with a max speed of 145

Thank you. I was curious what the stats were on the M2. First ones I've been on track with. There were three of them there and I was definitely faster then the other two, but this white one was seemed like we were pretty evenly matched. Very cool car, I bet it's a blast to drive.

But I don’t see you signed up for the RA SCCA TT gonna miss brew time with you. Seriously you are bonding well with the GT4 and plus one for the RT660.

First time on the track in the GT4. Lots of busy fun. More than twice as many shifts needed to get around the track as in my Vette. I had a bad camera angle on my phone and the overlay obscured the track so this is some backup GoPro. The app also crashed once during a session and failed to display some sensor output at random times. I think a good alignment and learning the cars turning and balance will allow some better times. I only eked out 2:13 while being careful.

Haha. Have been seriously considering it. Got two problems. One the wife will kill me and two not sure I have enough restraint to not do something stupid at a TT at RA. Will definitely be checking results and rooting for you.

Any time in the 2:00 to 2:05 range is really fast for any car. A 2:05.6 is moving, so you are doing very well. I was doing that the last time out in a few sessions with a GT3, but few clean laps with traffic. I have seen a 2:04.8 with just suspension mods and running on soft shocks. I don't use a timing device all the time. With aero upgrades, the stiffer shock setting, and an a pending exhaust with headers upgrade; a few more seconds should come off the time. Porscheflat6 has already broken the 2:02 mark with his well massaged GT4 PDK, so that would be a bit of a benchmark to shoot for in a modified GT4. That time was on old Hoosiers and he is a top notch driver with much experience on numerous Porsche GT cars.

@Mariomark Is that your phone mounted up in front of the rear view mirror? If so, what mount are you using?

Smooth laps.

Phefner, that is a dash cam from my work van. I'm still deciding on which one to order for a permanant install. I mounted the phone on the aluminum crossbar behind the seats and the overlay was too large to see the track behind it.
