2 questions pls:
1. Has anyone run this GPF delete OAP DIY with JCR silenced valved race pipe?
2. Are you running this GPF delete OAP DIY with OEM muffler or aftermarket?

EDIT: I now see the muffler was not removed; merely the lower brackets loosened.
During this process did you uninstall the muffler, or just the OAPs?
I ask because I have an Akrapovic muffler sitting in my garage. It’s been sitting there over a month while waiting for my OAPs. Your excellent tutorial has me wondering if I might be brave enough to attempt installing the muffler myself (and possibly the OAPs when they arrive).
Wondering if there are extra tools required to remove the muffler. The difficult part for me is I have a QuickJack rather than a full lift. Awesome for simple stuff like wheels swaps but makes it a little harder to get leverage or maneuver dropping heavy parts like mufflers.
Thanks!

Using the the 1st level of the QuickJack and a 5 gallon HomeDepot type of bucket, I was able to place the bucket under the muffler with an inch or two to spare.
When I loosened the muffler and pulled it away from the exhaust, it settled nicely on the bucket with out having to wrestle the muffler to the ground.

Just as an fyi, I replaced the cats with Soul sport cats on my Carrera T using the QuickJack.

Burning Brakes
It was certainly not my intent to do so, and I still think an aftermarket OAP is the way to go if that is the desired final configuration for the vehicle. I have very little doubt that the aftermarket equivalents flow a little better without what is effectively a fat resonator in it... The question is if it sounds / flows $1800 better
A majority of the aftermarket OAP solutions use 2.5” (63.5mm) piping and and I believe the OEM OAP 2.2” (55.9mm).
While similar, we should also note that the Cargraphic Defiltered OAP probably isn’t the “best” aftermarket solution available. If I were to order just an OAP and didn’t care about doing headers also, I’d get the Akras.

I don't feel a difference, but I did it during break-in and had not yet really pushed the car when it was stock. Post #123 from xstnte shows dyno gain of 5HP, but you would not likely notice that. No CEL, and for me it is a semi-permanent solution. Not yet willing to spend the big $$ for aftermarket offerings. That will likely change in time. I am sure at some point I will add headers with performance cats, just not yet!

I'm in a small Mayo town about 45 minutes south of you DC021, while my car doesn't arrive until this fall, I am planning to pick up some headers/bypass pipes and would be happy to demo the sound of them with and w/o pipes if we wanted to get a bit involved with the project in the spring of 2022? I'll just throw that out there for the science of things.

Hi X
Hi Xstante. When i look to the dyno graph, the most important thing i see is not the + 5 more hp or -1 less foot/pound of torque. Is my assessement correct? What i see is 300 higher rpm (7800 instead of 7500 rpm) that we could enjoy with a gutted gpf... Does the rev limiter cut the power at 7500 rpm with the gpf? What do you think ? Thank you.
