718 Spyder PDK
Has anyone had their pdk Spyder delivered? I was wondering how you enjoyed the pdk gearbox. Mine is built and awaiting transport to the US. I can’t wait to drive it and I’ve been looking for reviews but haven’t found a single one with the pdk.

PDK is PDK. It’ll do the shifting for you if you want or you can use the paddles and snap off lightning quick upshifts and downshifts manually. What is it that you’re wanting to know more than that?

PDK is not PDK. 7 speed pdk is used for the cayman platform and an 8 speed is used for the 911. The 7th gear is shorter for the new 718 gt4 and spyder as well. I wanted to know how this pdk, which is used in other caymans and I recognize that, feels in relation to the manual found in current gt4's and spyders. Performance/power delivery, handling and a higher locking limited slip differential will change the dynamics of the vehicle.

US 4.0 cars are embargoed until 4 Dec. Doubt many PDK Spyder/GT4s have been delivered ROW...expect we’ll start getting some EU owner/trade reviews sometime sion

Mine was produced last week; dealer says it’ll sit in port until the on sale date of 4 Dec.

Mine was produced last week as well. I'll have to put a call in to the dealership tomorrow to see what they say about it. If they shed a little more color I'll let you know.

My apologies. I look forward to the PDK that I've experienced in other Porsche's in this newly revised Spyder. I appreciate you informing me that it will react and perform the same as previous generations.

“PDK is PDK” ... lol, ok bud. Try to be less condescending.
