In addition, the PDK versions of the 718 Spyder and 718 Cayman GT4 benefit from the enhancements made to their mechanical locking rear differential: in traction and overrun modes, this achieves locking values of 30 and 37 per cent as compared with 22 and 27 per cent with the manual transmission. This has a positive effect on the longitudinal and lateral dynamics as well as traction, and increases driving pleasure.

For the PDK, it's interesting to see how it's still spread out in the early gears and then tightens up between 4th and 5th and then widens up again going to 6th and 7th.

This is the first test I see of a PDK GT4....GT4 vs M2 CS vs Exige 410 Sport.....GT4 is 1 sec faster than M2 CS and almost 2 sec faster than the Lotus.

BTW....the GT4 time could have been much better. He lost traction in several sections and was pushing too hard.

He seems to have trouble with the limits, lots of over and understeer. Not what I would call smooth by any stretch of the imagination. You watch people like Walter and Hurley track Porsche's and it's an entirely different league. Here are some other laps on the same track, and I assume the same driver, with the 6 speed. PDK is not slower.....

Yes...but the corrections he did on the GT4 are way more pronounced than on the other 2 cars.......so IMO he was over driving the GT4 a lot more.

You're overthinking it to draw the conclusion you want.

Overthinking.....yeah right. The conclusion is the same and very clear. But I should have expected that reply from you......you were doing great at explaining your opinion until you had to make it personal.....

I'd suggest anyone trying to compare lap times and make claims about cars or transmissions, go over to fastestlaps.com, pull up Hockenheim-GP and look at the times. Christian Gebhardt turned a 1:53.9 in the manual GT4.

Wut? How did I make anything personal? I'm disagreeing with your interpretation of the video.
