Congrats on getting those items approved.
thanks yep, I understood CXX/custom tailoring; I’m asking about the code. My confirmation table literally says “project code 1145” which is the bit I haven’t seen talked about before

I guess I could just ask Thuy but I figured the hive mind would know

Unless they did it differently with you, on my build they have my CXX options listed out on an Excel spreadsheet and each requested CXX item is listed as a line item and each item has a description and a code. That is all for internal and will not get printed on the Monroney Sticker so any code you're asking about such as project code 1145 is all for internal use at PAG only.

yep, that’s exactly what I have. I’m curious; did you get your keys painted PTS? If so, was it project id 354?

thanks!

I ordered a CGTS 4.0 in PTS Porsche Racing Green Metallic. I was told the scheduled build date is September 22nd and delivery date is 12/24. I have an SA that is very helpful but I feel like something is lost in every communication.

I’m pondering one change to the build. I want to change the PORSCHE on the rear from silver to black. If it wasn’t a PTS build it would be a very simple change as there is still 30+ days until the build date. I’m concerned that if I submit the change request they’ll tell me “sure” and then I’ll find out my build is pushed back.

Do I risk a big delay by requesting it? Alternatively, would it be hard to change it after delivery by either having it painted or buying a replacement piece?

There is a lock in date your SA should have told you. You have up to that date to make changes. After that date changes cannot be made.

For non-PTS that’s true and I understand it. There are some differences with PTS. Before a PTS goes to V200 it is V215 which bears the ominous “V215 - Blocked by PAG - not changeable.” I hit that spot 75 days before my build. A non-PTS build locks 2-4 weeks before the build date.

I’m asking the question specific to PTS.

I haven’t tried, but Thuy (CXX) told me I couldn’t change anything paint related after the cxx date because they order a precise amount of PTS paint but that I could change other details up to the production lock date.

That is in the context of PTS for the body, 2 keys and some of the normally unpainted items; eg not solely PTS.

My guess would be that changing rear logo to black might be ok because it doesn’t change required PTS paint quantity, but you might run into a system assumption that all paint shop details are locked.

try it and see?

I have my keys PTS, and the project number was indeed 354. So it looks like the project number is a number Porsche assigns to the project type that is uniform across all cars that do that project.

Consider having a shop that does protective film and window film cover panels inside the cabin. Cheap and does not alter the car permanently and also acts as a protective film on some of the panels that are prone to get scratching.

Very nice. Please share pictures when you bring your car home...and lots of pictures too. I would especially like to see the painted seatbelt passage as I didn't know that was even a possibility on the Spyder so curious to see what it looks like.

Thanks for sharing. I've updated your data.
