I like pretty much all the greens but am surprised at how much indecision there is on python. I don’t see what’s so controversial. To me python has a 70’s green vibe to it... looks outstanding. Looking forward to seeing some Spyders in python as the website configurator sure isn’t doing it any favours.

I love some of the Porsche greens, but I hate Python. It’s a cool color stand alone, but I don’t think it works on a car, particularly because I think it looks awful next to black. But color is 100 percent personal.

Have you seen it in person? If not, seems a little excessive to make that call.......

Of course I am, but given the fact that the photos indicate hues exactly like the Green Tree Python that it's named after, I'd go out on a limb and guess that they're pretty accurate. And I've yet to see a Porsche color in person, that I hated in pictures, and suddenly loved in person. A few the opposite though.

Again, color is personal. It's personal taste, not good vs. bad. It doesn't matter that I don't like the color of your car or that you don't like the color of mine. I was simply responding to the comment someone made about wondering why this color was causing some hesitation.

Because it's not a $13k green. If it was, there'd be no hesitation. People are like, "Where's the catch?"

You think people are surprised that they don't have to pay PTS cost for Python Green? Love it or hate it, there's nothing special enough or historical enough for it to be considered a PTS color. If there was, it wouldn't be a standard color. Porsche's not stupid.

They are not surprised, just hesitant/confused. If PG was a $13k pts green, it would have been ordered alongside all the other pts greens without hesitation. You seem to have drank gallons of Porsche's pts kool-aid and know the formula to decide what is and isn't "PTS color". How does it work with Speed Yellow which used to be free, now PTS?

I disagree, at least there is an example where I disagree. Gelbgrun is 99.9% identical to lizard green. Former was PTS, latter was special paint.

I want to see how close to viper phython is, but more important to me is how it looks in person. It might be too bold for me.

Maybe Porsche realized that Speed Yellow was an epic color that people would pay big $ for, yet a color like Racing wasn't. Ever notice how waayyyyy more people like Speed than do Racing?

Python is a cool color from a cool animal, but it's just not epic on a car like so many PTS colors are. If it had been PTS, it would have been pretty rare to see on a car for sure.

On a tangent, talking about epic PTS colors, I saw a GT3 in 'GTS Red' on IG today and I have to say it is epic on a sports car. Similar to Carmine, but even better. Probably the best red I've ever seen on a Porsche.

Perfect example of why the devil's in the details. Here's a comparison of those two greens. RS in Lizard and GT3 in Gelbrun. Gelbrun looks special to me, Lizard looks...green. It's the subtle difference that makes Gelbrun awesome. Python is a Lizard like color. It's...green.

Maybe I am color blind but I can’t actually tell the difference. I mean you can tell they are very slightly different next to each other, but which one is lighter switches in the two photos. I think Python and viper will be that similar.

Now lava orange and signal or gulf orange, I agree with you even though I don’t mind lava.

I cannot tell the difference from Lizard to Gelbrun. I really can't. I have seen python on a 992 in the bright Texas sun - it looked great. In fact, I wasn't much of a fan until I saw it in the wild.

Wow, I knew that PG would look stunning with silver wheels and that’s how I’ve done most specs with it. First live pic I’ve seen of the combo.

I know you’re not trolling so you must be joking.
